thanks for this! been using the same printer since I graduated high-school in 2008. it has a ton of grody smudges on the under side of the glass. i couldn't get the front to unclip the way yours slid off on accident. i had to stick a bamboo skewer with a coffee filter soaked in rubbing alcohol in there but man that thing WAS dirty. still IS. if you can give me a hint on how to get the front part unclipped that'd be great. also, over the years i think the scanner picks up less pink and cyan. is there a hack for that or is it just time for a new printer? thanks again. I've grown attached to the thing. had it longer than my paint brushes. used it for all my classes and projects. solid. dread having to learn how to use a new one.

Hi. I apologize for a late reply. I don't have this printer currently. To get inside the scanner area, see if there are are screws that still need to be removed. When you open the front of printer look under, you should see a couple there.

I was hoping the printer would be disassembled enough to show the full paper path because my 4280 has a phantom paper jam. I still don't know where that sensor is.

Hello from Barcelona. The problem with my printer, C4380, is that it takes many sheets at once, so it is imposible to print large documents, unless you keep holding the sheet feeder so it only takes one at a time. Do you know how to solve this problem? Thank you.

Hello. There is a paper stopper that looks like stairs, located at the very end. You can access that piece by opening the back area cover. Check to make sure that piece is no jammed or misplaced. White or black in color. Also, make sure your paper is not pushed too far.

Over the years it still worked for me until a few days ago. Now it happens that within seconds of connecting it to power the screens turn on and off and say "turn off and turn on again". Faults in the energy and in the voltage adapter have already been ruled out... Perhaps the electronic card of the source? Thanks.

This printer does not have a paper sensor. If it gives you a "load paper message", clean the roller like in the following video: m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/a6THhY2IZceKgLM

my hp printer wont pick the paper and says theres a paper jam but nothing is blocking the way. i think it has to do with me trying to take it apart when I tried cleaning it.

Hi. It can be a few things. First of coarse, is to make sure the plug you are using is working, then make sure the power supply is connected proerly everywhere, not damaged. I've seen power cords damaged by pets since it is so thin going from printer to power supply adapter. Pull cartridges out, try to turn printer on without cartridges. Also a common issue is that the port that is soldered on to the mnain board may have disconnected for some reason. It needs to be soldered back on to give power to printer. Hola, tengo la misma impresora, la desarme para limpieza y la volví a armar pero al encenderla el carro se queda en el lado izquierdo y si abro la puerta para poner los cartuchos el carro no se mueva hacia la derecha para poder cargar los cartuchos se queda en la izquierda. Que puede ser?

you cant been trying all day you can go in to you tube has a way to show you how you can install micro soft drivers in it show a different printer but it didn't work for me i installed thee driver but i don't know if it was the printer or the driver
