They have changed a lot though... I hate that emo phase, can't stand it. Hate all those albums from that time... which is why I'm lost when it comes to this band. Hearing them now after more than a decade lol it looks they improved their sound.

As an elder Emo and a fan span for two decades, this song relates so much to home right now since I’m going through a divorce. Hate relating to songs like this, and it sucks that Adam went through something similar, but I’m so glad that he expressed his honesty and feelings in the song so others can relate so we know that we are not alone.

Simple and awesome. This was the main song that stuck out on this album for me. Love the song and video. Thank you!!!
@tylerkeller88694 күн бұрын
I have no idea what it was which led Adam to write this. Nor do I want to. All I know is it helped me work through the grief and loss of the most special woman I've ever loved. I'm a human wrecking machine. Maybe God placed me on earth simply to be alone and those wonderful 10 months together were supposed to be a learning experience. All I know is that while I sat in a cathartic haze playing this song on repeat. There was a therapeutic value to it. The words don't match my situation perfectly. But I don't care. It's artistic value was worthwhile for me. "It made all that bullshit seem worth it"
@tazmon1224 жыл бұрын
it's the first time i really heard this song. i skipped it in the tracklist the year she took those rings and necklaces off, packed them up with the tattered threads of the mementos of our time together, and put them neatly in the box under her bed tucked away with the others of her past intimacies. ghosts hidden out of sight, buried under her floorboards. not to be seen by more modern lovers. she gets to put me in a box, i get to wear her on my arms... here's to better homes, and faded scars.

Both songs are actually about different people. “Everything Must Go” is about Adam’s ex-fiancé Chauntelle DuPree. You can tell from the time that song came out and also the allusions to her (“you quote the good book when it’s convenient”). This song is about his wife Misha. Both are great songs!
