Two years ago, my husband was dying from COPD. On top of caring for him, his very lazy mother stayed with us as well and she refused to do anything for herself, instead making demands on me. I tried to enlist her other two sons in the help and they refused, so the tasks all fell on me. I was told if I would have quit my job or given up my pets, THEN I'd have more time for what needed to be done for all of them. By the time he passed away, I was beyond burned out. Now came their demands for me to give them items that belonged to him and to continue to keep their mom in my home. I told them I was beyond done and why. I sold that house, moved into a smaller home and was then told I was being selfish. I held my ground. Sometimes we have to do what needs to be done for ourselves and when the lazy ones call us out, don't take the bait, just keep walking. I have spent the past two years healing, seeing that toxic people are what they are...toxic and creating boundaries. What Joel doesn't tell you is that in doing so, you will lose some people who feel that life is all about them taking and taking. Walk away, don't look back.

Joel is very gifted . I was atheist for years . Laughed at him for 20 yrs when i saw him on Tv . Then when the student is ready . God will put the right person , at the right time, with the right information. Which is what happened . Changing channels on Sirius and somehow stopped on his channel . Had to have been God . I listened and cried like a baby . Needless to say I’m a believer today and love Christ . Thank you Jesus for waiting on me.

Keep believing God for it! I lost two boys to death. But I continued to trust God for a young man in my fam. At age 60 my granddaughter gave birth to my boy child. She was still in college so I got to raise him til 7 yrs old!!!!! And he is definitely a " GREAT GRAND SON" in every sense of the word. Not only is my granddaughter a successful ICU nurse, but I got a boy child out of the deal. TRUST GOD AND BELIEVE. PP LUS GOD ADDED ENERGY, STAMINA, JOY, CREATIVITY AND EVERYTHING I NEEDED TO FULFILL THIS CHILDS LIFE!

Yes! So important. You can take at least 10-15 minutes a day just for yourself and choose at least one day for self-care. For me, Saturday is my self-care day: wash and braid/style my hair, longer shower, exercise for 20 min, special time for fun with friends/ family or go out to a movie/for tea/listen to music/dance, etc.

It was how we bonded so closely because we watched them together on Sunday mornings while we got ready to head out to go to our church for worship services. I’m not a Christian but I believe in Jesus Christ and the almighty God , there’s only one god and the rest are just saviors, sons and children of god sent to earth to help the people. For one, I don’t understand why other less successful pastors or preachers are bashing Joel Osteen saying he’s wicked or not preaching the Bible but I’ve seen he always quotes things from the Bible and he has some of the most motivated speech or preaching ever that’s why I listen and learn a lot from his teachings. These lead me to believe that it’s not god’s way or the Bible that’s so strict and biased but it’s the person who interprets it that are biased and wicked and full of hate and jealousy’s pick and choose however they wanted to teach it preaches the word of the almighty Lord.

Joel, I saw you in person in San Antonio Texas, my home town and it's something I will never forget. I volunteered to help behind the booth that day you were here where they sell t-shirts to get a free ticket to get to the front seat but I already had a front seat and the ticket the ticket that I was given that was pretty much the same seat I was in LOL! Above all I didn't care about the ticket, I was so happy working at the booth, being around people, meeting new people and serving customers. I had a blast. So God work everything for the good.
