Other than the color, it reminds me of a show that was on in the 1970’s when I was kindergarten age. The show was called Rockford Files. Your dad will know about that show. M

Ya got yourself a nice little project car there !👍 I would most definitely install the truck spoiler finnthing in the back I don’t know the proper name for it but it would look soo much better look weird wit out lol .!! But as for the rest sounds like you got good plans for it !! 👍👍

Thanks Darren I appreciate it. I’m like 50/50 debating if I should throw the spoiler on it.. the sloped back almost resembles a Rivera without it lol! I’m excited to start working on it and sharing the rebuild with everyone!

We had a 79 camaro in auto tech last year. It was like 5 different types of orange with white stripes 🤣 it had a engine swap for a 350 instead of the 305.

I like that the car is low key without the flares and spoiler. Looks like a sleeper. 305 is a weak motor. You might want a 350 or a 383.

I told someone else on here it kinda looks like a Rivera without the spoiler and flares.. depending on my budget I might engine swap it someday but this 305 seems in good shape. Not going for a performance build, just a nice cruiser with a nice sounding rumble when I throw the new exhaust on it lol. Thanks for watching!

Other than the surface rust and the vinyl roof? It's mint,can I suggest after you rip off the vinyl replace it w paint on bedliner? I noticed the brake lines are copper,they last forever instead of the garbage steel lines,no rust,that was funny when your dad said that line about bo n Luke lmao!

Oh yeah it’s like 95% solid. Minus the floor boards and those two small spots I have to patch. Not too sure about the bedliner, I’m gonna try to sand down the car and get it as smooth as I can before I paint it. Gonna have to patch the screw holes that hold down the trim piece that goes across the roof, but other than that I won’t have to do much to remove that vinyl top! Bo n Luke also weren’t 6’7” so they could probably get in the window a lot faster than I can 😂 thanks for watching

Paint on bedliner will rot the car just as it rots pickup truck beds by allowing moisture to accumulate underneath.
