Yep, this is why I kept my torch red 2002 C5 Coupe (manual transmission) all these years. Now has over 200,000 miles, so a bit more wear and tear than this beautiful example in the video (totally awesome!), but I'm keeping it even after getting my C8 in the coming year.

Plus there are so many aftermarket parts available u can easily modernize the car by upgrading the lights, exterior, interior, performance, its all there for the C5. Enjoy!!

Love the C5. Had one (purchased new) for about 10 years, an 02 coup with a 6 speed. It was my wifes daily driver and fun weekend car. We did auto x, and some track days with it. Sold it a number of years ago and went Corvetteless (not good). Two years ago we got the bug again and found another very clean 02 Z06 in Torch Red. Having fun with it, but broke the stock shift linkage a couple of weeks ago, so I'm waiting for an MGW aftermarket shift kit, then we will be back up and running just in time for spring. Have fun with your C5.

It is EXACTLY like a go-kart with 400hp 😂😂😂 It's such a small car! And it handles super well because it's low and kinda wide. Yeah, C6, C7, C8 are all fantastic cars, no doubt! But when you drive a C5, you feel like you're in a glorified go-kart. And it is BRILLIANT. So much fun, it shouldn't be legal :)

I absolutely loved my C5 - wish i still had it. Bought it new in 2004 and had intended on keeping it however out of curiousity i test drove an LS3 equipped C6 and the power won me over. I have a C7 now which i traded the C6 for, plan on keeping the C7, but i am seriously considering finding a beautiful bargain C5 sometime this year perhaps. Love the Bowling Green color i would think that is kind of rare. Looking forward to seeing the mods you do on this car.

I missed my 2004 yellow C5 💛 which I had so much fun with it. This green one is an absolutely rare 💚 Nice catch 👌 Air intake + long tube headers +X pipe no cats + aftermarket exhaust + 4x Lowering bolts. This is must to do first to any C5 😎

Bought my black 2001 C5 new back in September of 2000. I has the same mileage as yours after 20 years. Still looks and drives like the day I picked it up. It has been my only car for the past 20 years. The low mileage is because I work from home and if I have to leave town I rent a car. It is my DD, but I usually don't drive in bad weather and I drive mostly at night. If they still offered a C5 I would buy a new one tomorrow!

Still A big fan of the C5, after owning 5, at one time...still have 2--- Torch Red ones, an 04' Z06 and an 99' convertible...the sad part for 97' to 2000', you can't buy new or rebuild the ebcm module...like resoldering the 01' to 04' ones...just push the active handling button if it works or pull 2 fuses... there is plenty of forums and YT videos on this subject...I drove my 99' today, and there is a lack of power at 40mph when the gas pedal is smashed, it won't shift down 2 gears in the A4...stock 2:73 gears...3:15 optional... don't help at that speed either,...the solution is to Manually shift the automatic and that eliminates sluggish acceleration, when you feel the need for speed...fyi...former owner, got 30mpg highway on some Corvette Caraivans...yes I like my c7 very much too.

I'm a C5 fan and had several. Love the FRC's. Be careful 1999-2000's have parts that are not available any longer, not reproduced and not repairable such as ebcm's and steering wheel position sensors that go out. Can only buy them used not guaranteed.

Big question from me is how much did you pay. I bought a 2004 LeMans edition convertible automatic for $20,000 even back in 2015. The interior was completely brand new. All the lights and buttons worked. The CD changer in the trunk worked. It came with a brand new set of Bridgestone run flats because the ones that were on it when I bought it or dry rotted. After a little discussion with a dealership they gave me a brand new set. Very happy with the C5. I will be watching your channel

The fact it's survived this long and is in like new condition makes it something special in my opinion. Therefore I'd personally leave it alone since modifying it would make me sad. Note: tires older than six years should not be driven on. Granted, they look like new which is also amazing, however, they're not considered safe after six years regardless of apparent condition.

Yup. They'll be replaced soon. I don't know if I'm going to do anything major mechanically but there's definitely a few cosmetic things I'm going to do to bring it up to the current day tech.

I still get questions regarding the LED bulbs as well as the black lug nuts and TPMS sensor covers (which I usually have to point out). For a moment I thought you were going to drop a blown 454 in it or something else equally radical. ;) So now I feel better. :D

...want to bump your C5 into Z06 territory ?....Airrade intake 21 hp, B &B Bullets 18 hp, Magnaflow cats 10hp...these gave my Commemoritive Edition seat of the pants power without going into the engine and over 20 mpg...in south Florida,I have the ragtop, Justin...wish you could see and drive mine...

shouldve got a manual, and taught your wife how to drive it. Could've made a video series out of it and monetized the experience as well! alas.. car is super clean, and probably my favorite color combo. wish my c5 was that clean
