Brian, down payment was left in two shots. First one was on order day, I had equity in my trade in (2017 540i was traded in on order day). Second down payment was made when I picked up the car.

I like your video. You got your car pretty quick. I have a 2022 G82 M4 manual which I ordered on August 29, 2021 and took delivery on August 9, 2022, just 20 days short of 1 year. I live in Sacramento CA and I takes about a full month longer for ships from Bremerhaven to go down to and through the Panama Canal to Port Hueneme CA than it does to the east coast. Mine is Isle of Man Green over Tartufo full leather. I have the 825M Bi-color wheels and I won the tire lottery, getting the Michelin PS4S tires and the moonroof. I absolutely love this car. I traded in a 2015 F82 M4, also manual, which I really loved. My G82 is definitely a big improvement over the F82. I had the 200 mile break in service done 2 weeks ago, so now I can really enjoy it the way it was meant to. Enjoy your new car. SAVE THE MANUALS!

@@znmperformance Yes, I did. It came on the Capricornus Leader from Bremerhaven, Germany through the Panama Canal stopping only in the UK then in San Diego and Port Hueneme, bypassing the East Coast. I checked the progress every day. The wait sucked, but now it's in my garage with over 1500 miles now on it.

What's wrong with the shifter it comes with? It's very classic BMW...Also, the exhaust sounded tame at the end of the video because you didn't have the engine in sport plus mode.

Nicolas you’re correct, I was not in M2 when revving the car. Even with the valves open, it’s still a bit quiet! Thinking about doing a mid pipe. As for the shifter, I feel the stock knob sits just a bit too high. The performance knob cuts about an inch off and while it’s not a short shifter, it gives the feeling of a shorter throw.

Thanks! Yes, I do like the bi-color a lot, but at the same time the thicker sidewalls on the sedan don't look half bad! And yes, the ride is likely a tad bit smoother versus the 20/21's!

Adam, it does not. No 6MT from the factory comes with it as you'd need to bypass the clutch safety switch.

Thanks - you don't see many SSG on Fiona. When you do, you certainly don't hear it's anyone favorite! Very subtle combo and not too "loud". Yes, I am going with a single midpipe eventually. It's my daily driver and I don't want the smell of downpipes - so most likely leaving the exhaust upgrades at just a midpipe.

Yup - AST springs. It's a daily driver and want to retain EDC so no coilovers (yet).

@@znmperformance I read on Bimmerpost forums a lot of people have issues with the AST springs. H&R springs and H&R HAS kit is the only one without issues so far and positive feedback. KW HAS updated to V2 with taller rear springs since the original release dropped the rear too low. Might be worth checking the forums there.

At first I was hesitant....I never saw one in person until taking delivery of my car. I have to say, it grew on me quick. Over time everything becomes second hand nature of knowing where to press on the screen.

I do wish the "dash" itself flows more with the "dash" if that makes any sense! The screen should've been integrated into the dash where there was no physical bezel. You would think a company with access to billions for R&D would create something elegant and beautiful. While it isn't hideous, it's far from beautiful. I get that it's subjective - and while M3's are not exotic cars - they're far from cheap - and for the price I expected more from the entire ID8 setup.

I really like your video! I have watched a ton of M3 videos as I am on a waitlist to order mine. Taking off the wrapping was a great way to bring the car to life. I actually really like that you stuck with the base wheels, they look better than some of the optional ones do. Was the only option you chose the paint?

Concur on the wheels, while looks are subjective, I too prefer the looks of the 18/19 824m wheels here. Also, you actually gain a bit more sidewall with the 18/19" setup without losing any width compared to the 19/20" setup (18/19": 275/40 & 285/35 vs 19/20": 275/35 & 285/30). Should be a touch more comfortable without sacrificing traction/performance.

Exactly this. Don't get me wrong, I do like the 19/20's, but this is a daily driver in NYC area. I do not want to deal with wheel/tire damage. Plus, I just like the beefier sidewalls on 4 doors (E90, F80 & G80).

Josh, I love them. The only thing that still bothers me is the stock ride height on 18/19’s. The 19/20’s have much less gap from the factory…. But nothing coilovers or springs can’t fix! I just think the beefier sidewalls give the sedans a nice bully stance….and comfortable ride.

Thanks Kenny! Yes, ordered 3/2/22, allocation received 6/29, car went into production next day. My client advisor was transparent from the start - he was even apprehensive about doing the deal in the first place because if I didnt take delivery of the car before 2022 ended I would miss out on the tax credits from my trade in. My choice was Dravit Grey, but I did have a tight budget and had to settle for Skyscraper. No regrets, I love the color!

I decided not to use anyone’s “guy” on this purchase and did it old school by picking up the phone and calling every dealer willing to sell at MSRP. I work in the automotive industry and I hate referring people places as the negative feedback always comes back to me. But Park Ave BMW blew it out of the water this time. My CA Brad Russak was amazing. Give him a call and tell him I referred you. First time meeting him told him I wanted to a order a base G80 with zero options besides heating steering wheel and power trunk - he treated me as if I were purchasing a fully loaded M5 CS.
