You can't stop shedding, its natural. We shed 50-100 hairs everyday. Its normal. You're supposed to do that. Whats wrong is breakage. If your hair is 7 inches long and you keep seeing 2 inches of hair fall off its breakage moisturize more if 7 inches of hair falls off its shredding and its normal.

For 6 months that shedding she had was pretty good. Try a tea rinse that helps with shedding. I tried that and a trim and it cut down the shedding

yasss me too and I get annoyed when some naturals talk about weaves like it's the devil, like that's what my hair wants and loves and my hair grows the most under sew-ins. Braids, wigs and other protective styles don't do much for me. I usually leave my sew-ins for a little over 2 months and even when I neglect my hair under them, it still GROWS. Now, I currently have a sew-in and I plan on wearing it for 10 weeks but I make sure I moisturize my hair underneath very often and wash every 3 weeks. Sew-ins are the truth!!!

I leave mine in for 6 months each time. I spend too much time putting them in to take them down so early. I do a baking soda and dawn dish soap cleanse each month. I also retwist or rebraid when necessary to avoid harsh matting. For moisture, I use cantu leave in conditioner and doo gro hair grease. The new growth is insane each month. It works for me.

@@growingwithgaelle6346 I've just cornrowed my hair straight back and wonder if you have any advise for me? My plan is similar. Any cons you can advise on? I'll be keeping my hair covered all the time with silk)satin adding leayvin:/Ayurvedic oils 1-2x per week, vibrating massage to stimulate follicles. U guess my main concern is matting and the easiest take down? Someone advised to preoo overnight with coconut oil, which makes sense time as it would have time to penetrate the matted areas of product build up? Then in the take down use the VO5? I only hope u can go a full month as I have hand in hair syndrome. Gonna check out your other videos! 😆😆😆😆

6 months of protective styling??? Girl, I can't even! I only do 1 month protective styling and I just CANNOT taking them out after 2, 3, 4 or 5 months since I'm a man my hair grows like crazy with all these hair growth products I use to make it grow and my braids/cornrows get messy after 2, 3 weeks because of frizz and fly aways. I can't leave my hair in a protective style for more than 2 months otherwise it gets 'locked' in place and I have to shave it all off!!!

😳😳😳😳 8 months I pray I hold up that long sis the longest I've ever leave my hair is for 3 let's say that I think it may be shy of the 3 months a day or two days I wish I had that patients and when I say that I mean I've been dying to see my hair really. That's one of my weakness when I do protective hairstyles but I think I have gotten lazzier if that word makes sense 🤭🤭. But I've had one in for like a month now this week and I started feeling new growths but I am not interested in taking it down as yet. I don't do wigs of anything that is fake in my head but am tempted to I'll be honest. But all in all I wish I can go way longer than the same 3 months maybe try 6 too 🤷 this time I may try it. And I pray that you will be completely free from the spirit of depression in Jesus name. Be blessed

I feel you and I'm with you! I used to leave singles (with extensions) in my hair for up to 3 months, and my stylist would get so mad at me!! I did experience a little dreading, (not too hard to take out with a little patience), but, like yours, my hair thrives and flourishes when I just leave it in braids. Now, for the past five years, I do singles without extensions. I got sick, so I left them in my hair for 6 months before I started taking them down. I was very sick, so I took them down a few at a time, rebraiding them as I went, which took me 3 months to complete. So the last ones I got to had been in for 9 months! And I'm not gon' lie, six to nine months was far too long. It was difficult to take the braids out, and I had some breakage,... but amazing growth! That was three months ago, and now I'm taking them out completely for the winter. I have noticed a little dreading, but the growth has been phenomenal! My hair now stretches all the way down to my waist. I'm glad I discovered your Channel. Your hair is beautiful, gorgeous!

It has yet to fall out. Different things work for different people. My hair grows like crazy under a protective style. My shedding is not that much. It is definitely normal. Your hair looks like it grew a lot! Great work. Did you only experience matting across your braids? In your video it looked like you couldn’t really pull them apart to show your scalp. If so a suggestion would be to oil your scalp every day, that way your fingers run down between your corn rows and prevent this from happening. I’m currently on a six month stretch myself trying this method. I’m 2.5 months in so far. Wish me luck! Lol

How are you so colonized that you will allow your hair to loc under a wig due to neglect... BUT you didn't consider loccing your hair using benign neglect which would be healthier for your hair? Like sis. Love yourself Nasty

Hello hun! I'm grateful that my video caught your attention which means I'm doing something right, however if you watched in its entirety, opposed to just reading the title maybe your opinion wouldn't be as such! Please take your negativity somewhere else, this is not the channel for it. God bless you! ❤
