How can a good God be happy when there is so much suffering in the world? ... Maybe because even though God is here with us in the now He is also outside of time. He resides at the happy ending. He holds the whole book while we are trapped in our paragraph and chapter. I think he can do what we can not: be filled alongside us with the deepest sorrow while at the same time be completely and utterly joy-filled and happy. Watch his face as the page turns -- see his anticipation of our joy.
