With regards to BF Goodrich tyres, I actually had them from before, the tyre dealer shown is only a general Bridgestone dealer who bought the original tyres from me for Rs 4000 each. Current availability of BF Goodrich is a challenge, and asking prices being asked are unreasonable.

I was told that Nexa will Deliver about 4 to 5 vehicle each month here in Nagaland. They have a long list of Customers probably more than a hundred. I don't know exactly when I'll get delivered but I hope that they'll deliver me soon because I booked the vehicle the same month after it's Launching. Fingers cross 🤞

Couple of quick points: the rolling diameter of your new tires is just 1.5% more than that of stock tires. 2nd - You should not be changing the tire pressure from 26psi which is recommended by Maruti to 30psi, it will only end up making your ride quality worse. And last this tire shop that you went to has put your vehicle on hydraulic jack without using a jack stands, in case this hydraulic jack fails, your vehicle could potentially crash. A terrible practice.

You’re right and keeping the tyre size within this difference is intentional. I’m currently experimenting with the pressure, will revert to whatever is optimal.

Hi I would like to upgrade to 215/75/R15 AT from the stock tires. Would this cause any difference in the overall performance of the vehicle. Also I wanted to know that this being a new vehicle, would the wheel alignment post tire replacement be a difficult job ? I just don’t want to have any unnecessary problems on a new vehicle. Any help or suggestion is appreciated.

Congrats buddy. It's an auspicious occasion for sure...can also tell by the peppy background musics :p ....I had booked the alpha AT, but the prices are a bummer. For someone who doesn't do much offroading, and wants to use jimny as the primary daily driver, there are much better options at that price point. I am stuck between the heart and the head. Will take a TD and then decide. Look forward to lot of interesting content on your jimny.

Best to sell to a Bridgestone dealer near you. Geolandar GO15 ATs are good tyres with stronger sidewalls than older versions. Also priced well.

@@mukeshkhatri6793Hi. Am not sure about the weight of either tyres/brands but it will be negligible overall. BFG’s are not available in India due to tyre import ban post Covid. If you do find them in the market they will be an older date import, therefore not the same anymore due to time lapse; if the tyres have not been stored correctly by the retailer, they can dry out.

They’re heavier and it can be felt, but the ruggedness and all terrain capability more than makes up for the on=road compromises!

215/75R15 represents less than half an inch of size difference in diameter. So no adverse effects. Wheel alignment should not be needed on a new vehicle. Wheel balancing maybe required. You can upgrade with confidence.

Would u Recommend 225/70r15 Apollo apterra at2 instead of 215/75r15 ?

Anything up to 235 section is fine. Difference between the 215 and 225 is within half an inch so you can’t go wrong with either. I’m running 235s on my other Jimny with no issues, only slight rubbing of the aerodynamic flap at U turns. Hope this helps.

Thanks. It does help. Apterra at2 225/70r15 suits me aesthetically. I’m wary on performance front as stock tyres function great. Any info on effect on ride quality would help too

@apoorrvgupta1658 honestly the stock tyres offer the best ride quality by far. If you prioritise that, don’t change them! The ride is noticeably stiffer on 235s and little firmer than stock on 215/225s. So if the plan is to stick to Tarmac and you don’t mind the looks, stick to the original tyres.

I have also booked 5 months back. Taken test drive as well . The ingress and outgress is good. The headroom is good but a little tight for three people at Back. Boot space is sufficient and 210mm ground clearance is fine. But lacks punch while driving. I could not feel much power as my 1200cc Tata is yielding. This is an overpriced vehicle I mean spending just 1 to 2 lacks extra can get you a better SUV. No pocket for bottles on front doors . I don't think it will yield good mileage also. I have a second thought before I go for delivery.

Jimny deliveries have started in many cities across India but Maruti has not even provided a test vehicle to it's dealers in a city like Bangalore. Pathetic. When Maruti cannot cater to the demand why launch such new models. Lagta hai Raja sahab ka GHODA dheere dheere dhobi ka GHADA ban raha hai.
