Big thankyou to Mr Lawnmower Man for inspiring me to start loving my lawn again. I've got a Kikuyu yard on the NSW South Coast. This growing season, I've sprinkled 'stuff' on it for the FIRST time (tried some granular fert, mixed with some old blood and bone dust I found in the shed). We've had a superb Spring here, plenty of rain and sun. I've started 'double cutting' with my cylinder mower and she's just come up beautifully. 20+ years of mowing my lawn, and only now starting to enjoy it. Thanks again.

I never thought I would get so into watching lawn video’s... makes me want to get out and start working on mine right now. What would you recommend in Victoria for a badly maintained lawn with heaps of weeds? Previous owners didn’t take much care of the lawn at all. Very rugged terrain where you can start to see tree roots coming up in some places?
@moezavlogs32523 жыл бұрын
Fertilise it, wait 2 weeks and then hit it with some weed killer (bindie/bow and arrow). Arerate it, mow it regularly and hit it with water regularly. This is the recommendation during the growing season. Since weathers deopping it changes a fair bit now

@@kymschutz5744 we weld Corten sheet metal as a edge and do brick edging and concrete edging as well... they work really well.. that said.. kikuyu can not be left unattended for ever.. you do need to edge it from time to time.. but its enough to prevent it getting away.
