what a waste of time and resources. grass shouldn't need constant life support to keep it growing. plant something that's able to keep itself alive.

Nice Ben! You boys not use any turf hardeners when winter starts setting? We chuck about 1kg of nitrogen per hectare with some cal/mag and fe some phosphates and some k usually stay sweet without needing any fungys 👌

The darker colour to keep heat during the day works in reverse during the night. A good heat absorber is also a good heat radiator. It won't help for frost but will get it warmer during the day.

Google "Paul Harvey's Mosquito prevention spray"- anything w/ P.Harvey & mosquito prevention..There's a 3 part mixture anyone can make with a blender, including *Walmart Mint Mouthwash, *Epsom Salts, & Alcohol-( the drinking type); I've changed mine to Ever clear @ 170 proof.) It absolutely keeps mosquitos away for 8 weeks even after it rains when applied on a Hot day w/ o rain .

Ben, Im in Launceston and seeded a new lawn in March (mainly rye) and am planning to use a pre-emergent in spring. However, I would like to top dress the lawn to take a few of the uneven spots out …… should use the pre emergent before or after?

What brand of grass seed did you use, and was it generic? Remember, you get what you pay for! Also, you may want to get a compost spreader. It's really comes in handy when you're overseeding.

When was the last you've aerated your lawn? You have a severe drainage problem. The soil is compacted, and it not draining any water. You may have a thatch issue as well, and your lawn to be aerated. Whenever water is puddling on your grass (like that) from the rain, the nutrients from the fertilizer will not be absorbed into the soil for it to work either, and it will be a waste of time and money because you won't see any results.

Hey brother love the vids, you mention in this one that you won't put anymore liquid fert on the rye until the overeed is more established? I've recently over seeded my fescue green in Vic should I just rely on the proliferate or is it ok to keep hitting it with liquids as well?

Hey man, I've seen a bunch of your videos and I've been getting into lawn care stuff recently. But I wanted to know if you have any tips on what to do if you want to have a more varied lawn? I love seeing a nice lawn but I don't need mine to be like a golf course, and I'd love some flowers in my lawn like daises and stuff. However, I don't want to have some monster weeds in my lawn! Do you know of any unimpactful additions I can add to my lawn that will liven it up? Thanks! Love the vids
