@@jjb8942 I did yeah, it's pretty easy once you get going, so definitely worth a play. I found the best results using an app called Runway ML, you need to go to Models and add a model galled StyleGAN2. once you have that model, you chuck in a bunch of images as source material for the ML algorithm and it will start to spit out similar images, which you can then select from to go further down that path. Its been a year since I did it, so cant really remember more specific details. but that should be enough for you to get going. Have fun!

What is the software that analyses and creates these blends called though?

I don't know what you're able to do with the software you use, but there's an architecture called comparitive GANs that can take in a dataset of pairs (eg colour and black and white) and you can train it to colourise the photos, i.e fool the discriminator by trying to reproduce photos that look as if they could be the true colour image. It might be cool if you took this one step further and trained two models (the normal GAN and the cGAN) on your portraits, then feed the novel photos from the generator as black and white into the colouriser and see how it colours them. This can be achieved in one model but it might be easier to separate them.

It's over my head personally but you should look into the channel "Artificial Images" video(s) on network blending. I think they might provide some alternstives to get a nicer mixture of your photo and portrait datasets and have more control over the mixture.
