Awesome video! I have a stock 2017 Laredo with QT 1 and wasn’t sure how capable it would be in sand. Not much info on the internet about this 4x4 system and this is very informative. Thanks for posting this and going to air down!

Definitely not alot of info out there on this, thats why I tried to get something out there showing its capability. Its pretty dang capable and a true 4x4 unlike alot of AWD systems

Thanks for uploading this video dude! I have the same GC, and this year I got stuck in the sand lol. I did not have a lift, stock tires and I did not air down. I paid the price. Had to dig my way out in the hot sun. Lesson learned.

Airing down is definitely a necessity, but they are fully capable of handling the sand if you do that

Going out to the outer banks in the spring and was wondering how my high altitude package would do but if that thing can do it then ill put mine in sand mode and won't have to worry

Yea, you will be fine. I watched 4 trucks get stuck and I drive right past them. Alot of people mistake The Quadra Trac 1 (like in mine) with AWD whuch is not correct. Its a true 4x4 but just always in 4 high. Yours of course, has multiple settings for 4 wheel drive. Im assuming the sand setting puts it in 4 High on yours

Yeah sand keeps in 4h and raises suspension to middle height

Does better than I thought, I have an older Grand Cherokee that came with the full time Quadratrac transfer case and I hated it. Pulled it out and put a regular Command Trac transfer case out of an XJ in it. Also big wheels and skinny tires don't do as well in the sand either becuse you don't have enough sidewall to get good flotation. I run 35s with 16" wheels on my F250 and aired down to 15 PSI in the sand it will go anywhere.

Yea I have Select Trac II Transfer case in my 2004 WJ and that things a beast.....I was surprised at how good it did but it would do better with smaller wheels though. I didnt see much difference in my sidewalk bulge after I aired down so I was a little concerned but now I know it can handle it fairly well

I have the 20 GC Limited, I have the dial in center and I never used it until I hit the beach, I put it in sand mode, I went down to 20 Psi and u was good. I’m also running 20 inch falcon while Peak tires which are one of the best AT tires they make. This thing cuts through the sand like a knife through warm butter. Only had tue truck in 1 snow storm here in NY and it plowed through 8” of snow with ease.

Yea they do really well off road. Better than I expected. I have an 04 WJ Grand Cherokee thats lifted and that thing is a beast lol
