You will see that in the last race, the driver messed up the Jeep's launch and came last with a time of 12.2. As per this drag race, it could have done 11.8, which was the same time as the Urus and X4 M.

he used the brake launch control back to back you can't do that on any car that has brake peddle launch control the brakes heat up just like any other car and stop working as good the average person isn't going to launch 20 times back to back to cause them to go near failure. My Trackhawk stops on a dime, but if i do back to back runs at the drag strip using launch control it does get like this after the 5-6th back to back run

I find it hard to believe that breaking performance. It’s a 2019 car, so I would like to know the state of its brakes, and tires. Original spec braking pads, tires, life left on them, brake fluid level, etc etc etc… this seems unreal. 😱

The brakes had likely faded from the launch control starts. But Trackhawk brakes usually struggle to keep the car still during launch control, which shows it's underbraked.

Hey Evan, @@The_Stanman the brakes are engaged but static during launch control. Fading is none to minimal. The real heat and friction are produced when they are engaged and trying to stop the disc/wheel from spinning. Like during intense track use, which apparently they didn’t do. Being a 3-4 year old car, VS a new one I’d be more inclined to suspect that it’s braking system and tires are overdue in maintenance, or out of spec. Again I highly doubt that an equally new Jeep Trackhawk would brake like that.

@@mbarbe007 Trackhawk takes ~15 feet longer to stop from 70mph than Audi in instrumented tests, so that'd suggest ~30 feet from 100mph. That, with some slightly worn tires and fading brakes, and the result here is understandable. I think you're underestimating how underbraked the Trackhawk is and how hard launching is on the brakes. It's front brakes are barely larger than NA V8 version, rears are the same. During launch, brakes are actively fighting 700hp and brake slippage is a big issue. That plus repeated hard stops from high speeds in earlier races and I'm sure that Trackhawk's pedal is going soft.

The Trackhawk braking distance reminded me of the 1st gen F150 Raptor lol. Started braking in UK, finally stopped in the US 😂 The Trackhawk is a favorite for a lot of us but we won't be getting one because of its brakes and its safety ratings🥲

You don't need to use the launch control with the Jeep, it launches decent enough just by stamping on the gas. Some say it's even better. I don't use launch control in my SRT and it pulls away like mad.

You most likely were racing the trackhawk in economy mode at first if you then put it in sport mode. It starts always in eco mode which is only 500hp. Sport mode and track mode ups it to 710hp.
