It's nice to see videos of Lake City in the Winter so it can remind me how beautiful it is up there in the Summer!!!!!! we go up there every year for 10 days and stay at the Grizzley campground, there is not a prettier place I'd rather vacation at!!!!!!! Awesome video Guys!!!!!!!

And to think back in 2018 when I gave 25,000 for my 1000 Range ,I thought I was crazy as hell... But I'm still driving it and working on the farm with it.. Dang, good-looking ride y'all got there.. Take care of it and it all take care of y'all..

Thanks. I know what you mean. The first SXS I bought was 14k and I thought that was outrageous. Now you can’t find a new machine in the low teens

I was there in August did it in my VW dune buggy. Love it up there.

We love it up there. We are fortunate to live only a couple of hours away.

We did that route a few times in out Jeep, it is one of our favorites. The one part of the loop we have not tried in our Jeep is Poughkeepsie Gulch. We are considering a Polaris Ranger Extreme Duty 1500. Would you, did you, take yours on Poughkeepsie Gulch. If so, how did it do? Did you do Imogene Pass in the Ranger?
@505Outsiders7 күн бұрын
I’ve done both in our RZR but not the Ranger. Imogene would be easy in the Ranger and Poughkeepsie you would need to do the wall bypass.

Trails above Silverton are the bomb. It sucks that I didn't get up there this year. Better make it a priority for next year. Damn adulting and not enough weekends :)
@505Outsiders3 ай бұрын
It’s tough when adulting gets in the way. Gotta make it back soon

Great video...and at 40-50k it better freaking not have trouble with altitude and or rocks that is a joke and at that point might as well get the ZR2. Love the cab, the tranny idea, 110hp on this machine and from what I've seen how smooth it is. I would have to get the ultimate version and at 50k she better work perfect and this torque boost is interesting for sure, might have to wait until that's all smoothed out.....thanks for the video of the ride and info on the machine, still not sure I can drop that coin on her.

Thank you! I think Polaris is making it right with their updates but I agree that it should have been right from day one.

Love the videos. We are purchasing the 2025 1500 xd crew. Just wondering if they have made any changes to help with the climbing of hills better?
@505OutsidersАй бұрын
When you buy it, make them plug their computer to it. That is the only way the dealer knows if it’s been updated. The latest update has improved it greatly.

I did not know about that torque spin up feature with the steel belt. I think that would be a no go for me. I have a Defender Max Limited and ride that country down there. It is beautiful and you definitely need to pay attention as the driver so as to no go over the edge.
@505Outsiders2 ай бұрын
Yeah that’s been the biggest issue and it’s a big one. Polaris has done several updates and it’s getting better. The aftermarket tuning has also addressed that issue.

What wheels do you have on the polaris. I've heard that a Jeep Wrangler bolt pattern is compatible to the polaris bolt pattern.

How’s the inside cab noise on this unit I’ve been looking at new machine just sick of the noise from the cvt drive units
@505Outsiders3 ай бұрын
This machine is super quiet. If you look through our reels we have one of us driving at 45 mph and I show the dbs around mid 70’s.

i dont think i could get use to the winding up of the belt it sounds like the belt is slipping when it most likely is not.

Is that the suspension im hearing rattling?
@505Outsiders2 ай бұрын
No, it’s coming from the steering system. It’s currently at the dealership for that rattle

Love these trails but I have to ask what is the point of getting an enclosed side by side for 30k when you can pick up an old XJ for 2k and do the same stuff without a CVT? Those side by sides are just as wide, longer, and not road legal (in most states). I really fail to see the value of these things at this point.
@505Outsiders2 ай бұрын
You are right. These machines are getting to the point it hard to justify. They are smoother and more nimble than a jeep.
@mattbarnes56663 ай бұрын
What updates did Polaris do?
@505Outsiders3 ай бұрын
There is some tuning software that improves the transmission ability to “lock up” but as you can see in my video this one isn’t fixed just yet. The latest update seems to have fixed the issues according to those that have done it.
