Author of Leap Of Death here, glad to see Jimmy still enjoying the map. Heck I still do too. I made every bump, every meter of the roads by hand, bump by bump all the way to the top because I wanted a challenging road in beamng. I still almost never can drive to the top without resetting the car. Regardless of what car I use. It is now updated to work with the latest version of the game, and time trials is coming in a later update.

1:38 Well Jimmy, if you are looking for more things to do in BeamNG there are now laser scanned versions of the Nordschleife and Spa available as a mod :) Since the reworked physics BeamNG has come pretty close to a proper sim too. It's quite an experience to throw a race car around one of the tracks as if you are playing Asetto Corsa or something and suddenly be reminded it's BeamNG when you crash into a wall. Also pretty fun to try out the tracks with things we don't have in sim racing like a caravan, truck with trailer or other stupid things like a race car with a heavy box or mattress on the roof.

Not really, everyone plays the game like an arcade racer or they have horrible throttle control. The goal of this map is to navigate your way to the top safely with proper throttle control and not have the car going from 5mph-45mph really quickly. You keep it at around 15-20mph and its easy.

It'd be interesting to watch Jimmy go to an off road driving course and learn how to drive off road and see how or if it affects his driving in challenges like this video. This map doesn't have really any challenging terrain for the Roamer Jimmy used and having done this myself, it's quite easy to get to the top without overheating or damaging anything more than the mirrors and running boards. I understand the whole slow as possible, fast as necessary mindset isn't very exciting for videos though but I'm also one of those people internally screaming "use low range" 😂
