It’s interesting that Tyler doesn’t seem to realize that muscles don’t need to be symmetrical. The way to make a good muscle is to have the force be evenly distributed between both halves and a symmetrical muscle often doesn’t do this. This can lead to a symmetrical muscle failing where an asymmetric muscle would succeed.

Small FEM lesson (which is basically what PB is): A free standing muscle (a muscle that is only attached at the ends and has no attachments in the middle) is always purely under compression/tension, since forces orthogonal to its longitudinal axis merely make it rotate around the other anchor point. Thus, the muscle only experiences an orthogonal force component it doesn't care about, and a longitudinal component that is ideally placed on a symmetrical muscle. Asymmetrical "muscles" do make sense when they support something else with their middle though.
