TAKING RISKS WITH YOUR ART

Taking a risk is no bad thing ! Listening to my instincts this week, I took a huge leap of faith on a large painting and changed it dramatically. #art #acrylicpainting #artdemo

It's very encouraging to watch U B creative with color. Like making shades of green with the variety blues/ yellows we already have. Warm- Cool ect combos. Doing segments on the color mixing process allows the subscribers 2 use what paints R already purchased. Times R that some of us need 2 not spend money.... but 2 learn from each other how to B a frugal artist and produce amazing colors with our own eye for color, so 2 speak. Of course, giving is a blessing, and your sharing of how subscribers share products and ideas is what makes UR effort on UR KZbin channel and shorts something to look forward to and to "share" with others that U R on .... Like when U share other artists' concepts, especially books, I hope U will make that a weekly go-to segment... even if it is only briefly. Where's the tea cup... maybe it's ice tea time of year?

I would love your angel in black and white, loved your work in the exhibition you are working so hard Gaynor, yes I have a shed with air conditioning but somehow seem to bring things into the house then get anoyed with myself for making the house messy then back they go in my shed. Love what you did to the long painting, it looks fab, airy and so Cornwall from what i recall visiting from NZ many years ago. I am not sure about the lettering on the smalls but definately the dark organic part /circles work on those very well. I have been enjoying your channel for a while now but this is my first comment, your style is rather like my own in some ways. Love your enthusiasum and your experimental works, and most of all thank you for sharing your work process and your thoughts as you go, very much appreciated. The long painting! I gasped when you showed it and feel like it's now exactly what it was meant to be! Beautiful! Loved everything in the Cornwall inspired series. And the pineapple angel is perfect! Your pineapple was having an identity crisis! I think I would rather be an angel too!😂I liked your 'busy' smalls but the strong black shapes do seem to pull the pictures together. You have a good range of green paints. I had an art tutor who hated viridian green and one who loves it! Your new art works look so lovely and cohesive at the exhibition. Watching you Gaynor, helps to further my own artistic path. Thank you! x

Vanessa, I have only just seen the second part of your comment !! I couldn't get into the Art Department at school and when I started work, I took up watercolour evening classes. As soon as I tried acrylics, I knew they were for me ! I took a foundation art course and when my children went to university, I did too - a part-time fine art degree which took 6 years. We moved and art things got packed away and somewhere along the way I lost confidence. The awful pandemic made me realise how creativity was very important and I got my paints out again !
