Brexit made the EU and UK weaker.

As a Brit, I have known for years that the EU was not a good fit for the UK and I am glad we're out. We need to continue as friendly neighbours, to trade and cooperate, but remember that we aren't part of the EU family.

Brexit was an assertion of economic and political sovereignty for the United Kingdom, allowing it to regain control over its legislation, trade policy, and immigration. Freed from the bureaucratic burdens of the European Union, London has regained its ability to negotiate its own trade agreements, strengthening its exchanges with major powers such as the United States, Australia, and India. By leaving the EU, the United Kingdom escaped the budgetary constraints and rigid monetary policies of Brussels, giving it greater flexibility to adjust its taxation and support its strategic industries. While the eurozone struggles to emerge from economic stagnation and Germany sinks into recession, the UK has demonstrated remarkable resilience, with growth exceeding the pessimistic forecasts of its critics.

Why would UK join EU when it’s failing. UK didn’t take advantage of brexit whatsoever., the politicians are so weird over there.

What advantage? Be realistic. This happened many years ago, and no brexiteer can point out any tangible advantage. So please, I enlighten us.

Something tangible. Something that can actually be accomplished.

@@TheDavidsega The advantage is that we have restored our country's sovereign independence. We don’t have to run to Brussels for permission to change VAT; to establish freeports; to change our farming support system; to reach new trade agreements; to do foreign policy deals with our old allies, like Aukus (between Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States); to change our rules on gene editing or clinical medical trials; to alter our animal welfare provisions; to cut tariffs on things we don’t produce ourselves; to protect the environment in our fishing grounds; to change our rules on driving licences, the size of lorries or the costs of car insurance; and much more. Nor are we sucked into their innovation-killing rules on AI or their free-speech-euthanising Digital Services Act.

@@DoggleBird Regarding your argument about “tangible benefits,” advantage alone can refer to any benefit, real or hypothetical. However, tangible advantage clarifies that the benefit is not theoretical but can be demonstrated with real-world effects.

The UK wants all the benefits of being part of the EU, but none of the responsibilities. How English of them.

Not me I feel like I’ve lost my family and I’m not the only one! Implying all the UK thinks like your comment suggests is very simplistic and false. The UK public was and is still being lied to by the media. The propaganda from the media goes back 20 years. The media and weak politicians used the EU to blame from their own failures. The UK citizens are at war with media and need your wisdom

Germany and France have problems but not caused by Brexit. When the UK was in the EUUK citizens standard of living was 90% of a typical German now it is 70%. We have voted to make our country poor damaging UK GDP by 100, billion a year.

@@kevingrant7098 "We have voted to make our country poor damaging UK GDP by 100, billion a year." It is embarrassing that anyone can even consider a loss of £100 billion (i.e. 4% GDP) as being vaguely plausible.
We haven't grown 4% in a year for decades, we most likely won't break 2% again.
Your misunderstanding was from a doppelganger OBR study presenting 4% over 15 years, the first year their data was 1% out which compounded makes that a nonsense.
