I've ridden to work on my ebike for years. Tons and tons of flats. The only way to fix this is investing in higher quality tires, taping the inside of the rim with electrical tape and adding the slime flat tire guard (plastic strip of some sort) between the tire and tube

Some facts about the bike. It does have a walking mode if you hold the minus button for about 3 seconds it will assist you so you can walk with it.

I use the protection from the "Tannus Armor" puncture in combination with the anti -proof tape. I drive Los Angeles a lot, I have never pierced the wheel.

The most common puncture I see on ebikes and traditional bikes are what we call road staples. It's actually small pieces of metal that car tires shead as they wear down. Tannus Armor is one of the best ways to prevent flats unless if you run tubless tires with real sealant (unlike slime).

I ride my Grizzly to work everyday day. I have a saddlebag with an inner tube, repair kit, tools and small compressor. Ive repaired flats on the road many times Also traded in those cheap knobby tires that came with it for a beefy tread that's tough. Ive tried slime amd fix flat stuff is crap. Flat Out is the best if your gonna go that route...it contains Teflon fibers that clog the puncture. US military uses it as well. But id rather spend 15-20 min and fix it right the first time and be done with it.

No patching a inner tube that got rode flat. Even the tire bead can get damaged. That’s horrible luck.I had two flats one week after another, but I found out that even though I don’t have walking mode, I can put it in the lowest setting and it gives me a fast walking speed on throttle.

One thing that I noticed about riding a bike is that people act like they are above you like since they are in a car and you arw on a bike that they have more rights than you have it's like if you are driving on the sidewalk and there's a stop sign for the car but you proceeded to keep going they will pull out right in front of you. So you do have to be careful because people think that they are above you because your on a bike and they are in a car. They act like they don't see you if you're on a bike.

I feel you, man. That is never fun when you got to push while late to work. happens to everyone eventually. In my opinion, an 18$ bottle of Flatout usually works a lot better for E-bike tires than slime. Put half a bottle application in my LZR pro, and has been running like a champ, take it off-road and trail-riding all the time and have hit some debris about the size that you described caused your flat. It just takes it on the chin and keeps going. although depending on how big the thing you hit really was, it may not make much of a difference between slime and flatout. All the same, I appreciate the content and still posting the video while rushing to work. Keep up the hustle!

I never tried flat out but armor dilloz works great for me. It’s thick and sometimes hard to push outta the bottle. It’s chunky. But I just didn’t have enough of a bottle to fill. The lie tires are thin so I feel it makes it easier and less slime. 20x4.0 tires are huge and require a lot more slime. 8-10oz

2 words Tannis inserts ! I have had 1 flat in over 4 years and it got me home , didn't even know it was flat till the next day . The nail was over 4 inches long , I also had flat out in it as well .

The Handlebar should be placed on top of the Stem Spacers to raise it up standard, and the preferred handlebar is not pushed forward so much and sideways . Nice Bike. Stem in reverse fine, but not the spacers on top.

Loosen the 2 bolts on the neck of the stem and the very top one above the spacers. That’s it.

You probably needed to put at least 6 oz of slime in that fat tire to make it work but ideally should have it in there already so that you just have to air it back up after the puncture since it will already have sealed itself. I was using about 9psi this winter while riding it in the snow but it's definitely not fun to do on the road.

Yeah 100% needed more. I thought I had more in the bottle but these are review unit e-bikes. I get many each month and I keep some longer than others but the main goal is to sell them at the end of the day. So I only put 20-25miles on these bikes. Not worth feeling them up and buying bottle after bottle

Yea, these bikes need to come with slime already in them or with Talon armor inserts or similar. Here we don't have bike lanes so it's always trash, glass and nails we're riding over up here so I always get inserts. But I get why you didn't have them since you're reviewing the bike as it comes. And I'm also guessing you sell them eventually so don't want to sink any money in them or even ride them much beyond the review. It's how I'd do it so it's just a guess.

Honestly? Taking a 12AH bike battery to work, at top speed, without a charger was probably a bad idea anyway. The flat probably saved you from getting stuck at night

yes these tires like many other ebikes are not very thick at all.

CST's knobby tires are super soft and puncture VERY easily and come standard on most ebikes. One of my bikes had a puncture on its second ride, however CST's street tires are much more durable though.

Man, I had this happen in the middle of a mountain bike ride once. I had an extra tube, but somehow forgot the tire levers at home and ended up using sticks. Naturally as soon as I finish, some dude comes along and offers to let me use his tire levers, lol.

Nice bike, you need inserts though for those fat tires. Bigger the tire, more possibility for a puncture. I learned that the hard way commuting my ebike 16 miles round trip. Many late days, and some write ups smh

The official website says it has run flat tires but obviously I guess it's not like a car where you can drive on it. Either way besides the unfortunate flat you still sold me on the bike. As far as I know it's the cheapest moped style bike and the fact that is can do 28mph is an amazing deal for under $1000

My Huck Stinger went dead on golden state and veterans before they closed the street. Had to push 95% home, tried pedaling home but it was too hard over to grantland/Bullard area. Took 2 hours of pushing. I was wondering why battery was cutting and dying when it said full charge. The BMS on that battery got fried. Surprised I haven't ran into you yet riding, you're always passing my area, been riding it since 2020.

I have same symptoms on my scooter! I was riding one night and the battery gauge on the lcd display said it was full but then the scooter just died. Got home and tried charging the scooter but wouldn't charge at all. In the morning, I tried turning on the scooter and it turned on with 2 battery bars left. I have no idea what just happened. Still can't charge the scooter.

@@hollow9390. What happened with mine was the voltage was reading fine, but when I was riding it would fluctuate sometimes going 110. I opened my battery pack since I contacted a few battery makers, the BMS was fried. When I sent them pictures they agreed, they could have put a new BMS but they needed to test the batteries to make sure it was safe. Ended up getting a custom powerful lithium battery last year when they were still pretty much starting, took 2 weeks from order to receive it. The guy even calls to make sure to answer your questions.
