The literal recipe for a potent track day toy that can take the kids to daycare too. Keep pumping out the gospel 🤙

These videos are so good! My only suggestion, either heavily reduce or kill music when talking. It’s overbearing and distracting. Outside of that, I’m loving this series 🎉

The wheel bearing upgrade is very interesting. Do they make those for the front as well?

For the TA8S wheels, what camber are you running up front to fit 295, and what wheel offset?

F80 vs F82. If you aren't married to either body style, is it really about getting the best car for the money? Or is there a reason to go for one or the other?
@user-ki8zf1rp1e10 ай бұрын
Same car with just a different number of doors and slight weight differences. It's all up to you but I prefer the look of the M3. The fender flares are so much more pronounced than the M4, pictures don't do it just at all, especially when it's moderately lowered on 18s. Even on stock power, with just suspension and tires you're punching above your weight and competing with some very capable cars.

Its personal preference really. We chose a F82 for our GTMore project to be a direct comparison to a GT4, but we certainly could have done the exact same with a F80. There are pros and cons for each if you get down to the nitty gritty details.

I chose F80 because I want to easily get my kids in/out. The rear fender flares are also more aggressive looking on the F80, which I think is why they tend to be more expensive than the F82. If I didn't have kids though and was making a track car I'd definitely go F82

Kinda Weird , I’ve just been watching footage on James’s E36 GTR , never seen it before and have ended up building a car very similar in many ways , double wishbone/ carbon body/ space frame .definitely not an easy project but we do it for the love … Georg Plasa was my inspiration 😃👍🇬🇧

@@BimmerWorldMedia car should be finished later this year and will open a YT channel for it , trying to specs /design quite secretive for now . Moved the engine 250mm rearward, flat floor , 3rd damper for suspension compression and adjustable blades roll bars. Gone for GT spec tyres 305/325 etc etc 380mm discs and Alcon endurance calipers, tilton pedal box . Ended up building 2 shells 1 around a steel shell for the cage design then another for the space frame so a mold can be took off the roof and rear 1/4s . Mold design is my next biggest headache as the main body technically needs to be in 4 separate pieces meaning vac bagging would be very tricky due to vacuum leaks 😵💫😳.

Spline lock huh? Any reason that was chosen on these cars over a pinned hub?
@BimmerWorldMedia10 ай бұрын
We dive into that discussion in another video here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/i2ivaqVvgdZ0oNE The car will never see BIG horsepower, it will stay with the stock turbos, just wanted some extra insurance while tracking it.

how do the Ohlins ttx race damper compare to the mcs 2-way remote dampers?
@BimmerWorldMedia10 ай бұрын
The truth is that both are quality damper systems, but from our experience with running them in other cars, the rebuild interval was higher than desired and is just one of the pieces where MCS absolutely shines. Another factor is the support from MCS, and also we may be biased, but the support from us. This is a factor that must be considered when purchasing a suspension package at this level. We'll help get you set up with baseline guidance and then support you along the way as you progress with the car. And then one piece on the performance side of things, there is much more flexibility built in with the MCS package for a wide operating range that helps allow a wide range of spring rates. Setup may be considered easier for some as well due to increased consistency on the dampers and click count through the operating range, and maintaining that consistency through its service interval.
