The reason you need to work harder on a regular bike to get to higher intensity is because you're "sitting" on the saddle and don't have to deal with your body weight. That's why in spin classes they paddle off the saddle a lot to increase the intensity instantly, just like using the elliptical.

Regular bikes are also just set up to be light and not require a lot of effort. If you push it you're either being rude on a trail or endangering your life with cars unless you're in a rural area.

Love my ElliptiGO! I’ve had a lot of success using it for my easy days. Then my run sessions are mostly quality!

These long stride models are very difficult on hills for sure ugh. Great workout! I have a 3- wish I had the 8 for sure.

And for girls - shorter girls- on and off is challenging. Agree with two hands!

Saw your story in elliptiGO's email. Here's my improvement on my elliptiGO 8C so far: kzbin.info68RK3PotvE4?si=9uiBMw0u3xCyb06A To glide and sweep and cut-through strong winds...I added ZZipper fairing and a corrugated plastic as aero disc.
