When I was in College, we had a graduation party where we went to Skydive Toronto. I did 5 hours of ground school before I made a solo static-line jump from a 182. I was shaking and terrified (I don't like falling, heights, or roller coasters).....but the embarassment in front of my classmates would be worse than the fear. After the chute opened it was the greatest thing ever. Once I got down, I wanted to go again.

I’m a skydiving and I’ve done it four times. I was very nervous and excited when I did it for the first time, but once my feet left the plane. It was so much fun and I could not stop screaming from the excitement of the freefall and the parachute, the wild ride. Spun really hard, me and my instructor were just partying up there. We did that both in freefall, and in the parachute. I still get that same excitement when I go in skydive again. There is still a tiny bit amount of nerves, but I can barely feel it because I get way too excited. It’s just something about that feeling that you cannot get enough of. I did it at the exact same location as you did. All four of them. They are awesome. One thing I would say to first time sky divers, have a good breakfast that morning and maybe have a little coffee. Why? That way you do not get nauseous and there’s so much adrenaline that if you have a good breakfast that morning, you don’t have to worry about any motion, sickness, or being nauseous. I’m so excited for July 25 because I’m going back for another tandem because it’s too fun.!!!!

Way to go Christy! Good job overcoming your fears. Brought back my own memories from 53 years ago when I was 19 attending US Navy Parachute Rigger school in Lakehust, New Jersey. To give us confidence in our own work performance because other peoples lives depended on us doing our job 100%, we packed our own main and reserve parachute and jumped twice freefall. No static line! I remember now how much of a rush it was and will never forget it. You won't forget either I'm sure. Congratulations and best wishes to you and the channel.

Dan, Christy, Kevin, Nick, Kerry, OMG!!! I would like to thank you for inviting us to such a monumental event. To be a part of yalls lives that day (6-14-24) will be a memory that will last a lifetime. As a pilot, I would never, ever jump out of a perfectly good airplane, but when I saw that Dan was jumping solo and Christy was going for her first time, I instantly turned to my wife and said I'm going sky diving. I could not get on the website quick enough to see if there was a remaining spot left to jump with yall. They had one spot left for the 9 am jump and I locked it in. I could hardly sleep that night thinking about the event. I believe Christy had it right, when you roll out of the plane and see the earth below you and nothing else it becomes very real and intense. Everyone did an awesome job and we are all alive to talk about it! Dan, I'm so proud for you gifting Christy the 100K plaque. That was a real stand-up thing to do. I have enjoyed watching all of your videos. Your faithful followers, Eric & Christy

I did my first c. mid 70's... static line, years before tandems even existed; Lake Elsinore CA out of a ragged old time Howard DGA-15. John Campbell taught the first jump course, and did so for many years back then. I went mostly for the one time experience, but ended up jumping for decades... never looked back. First time watching folks fall away (from inside) the aircraft, in itself can in itself be overwhelming... no matter how much video you've seen. Congrats! As was commonly said in those days, Christy and all can no longer be known as mere 'Surface Dwellers!'

Well done. I've done it and I agree that it wasn't something I needed to do again. For me it was a few seconds of terror as I fell, then the 7m aeroconical cargo chute started to fill and from there I just found it boring. The landing was easier than the training. It affects different people different ways. Two of the ten of us from my company made it their main hobby after that.

Christy, my experience mirrored yours almost exactly: Not too nervous at first, then huge nerves when I got close to jumping. Watching all the people in front of me.depart the plane almost made me back out! It also took my breath away when I jumped. I HATED the freefall part. I was nercous as we.came in to land, amd my thought when i was done was "Cool experience. No desire to do it again". The only difference is i wasnt nervous at all once the chute deployed. I loved that part and found it relaxing. I didn't fly though. I didnt realize until I watched my video that i never felt the insteuctor tap my shoulder which was supposed to be my cue to let go of the harness and hold my arm out. I kept a death grip the whole time.😂

Well, nine days later, I want to congratulate you on overcoming your fears, and doing what you did not want to do. As someone who studies the Bible, we're told not to have any fears. Someone once told us that FEAR is an acronym, and it means 'False Evidence Appearing Real.' You most certainly overcame all of the False Evidence, and you even mentioned that earlier in the video. In earlier videos, I suggested that you'd get on the ground and you'd be like 'Okay, when do we do this again!' Obviously, that wasn't the case, but maybe a little over a week now, there's some nagging thought in the back of your head that you may want to do it again. I didn't know that your husband was also jumping, what a great thing that must have been to have him with you. Now, what are you going to do when he says 'Let's go do that again!.' LOL Anyway, Christy, WELL DONE. I say it again, WELL DONE!

@@Dub636 Lessee, Psalms 34:4 " I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears", Psalms 56:11 " In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me"; Proverbs 29:25 "The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe"; Job 3:25 "For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me"; II Tim 1:7 "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind"; and I John 4:18 "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love." In a very specific regard, you are correct, because God knows that we will have fears, but He also knows that we can overcome them. Obviously, Job had fears, or at least a single fear in his life, and because of that fear, it cost him everything he had, but once he got over that, he got it all back. But, fear doesn't come from God, it comes from the devil, and wrong teaching, so God teaches us and shows us how not to have fear. When we seek out God, He delivers us from our wrong teaching which leads to fear. We don't have to be afraid, we just walk out on the promises of God to overcome fear. In II Tim 1:7, it says 'God has not given us the spirit of fear', that from the ancient Greek and Aramaic texts should read 'God has not given us a fear spirit', and when Lucifer and his third of the angels of Heaven tried to overthrow God's throne, and were kicked out of Heaven, some of the angels, which became devil spirits, became 'fear spirits.' So, in some cases, fear can be caused by devil spirits and devil spirit possession. But that is NEVER from God.
