Just watched the problem of street dogs in Moldova on Four-Paws site. Horrendous there with thousands of sick and starving dogs roaming the streets in their thousands. These dogs have dog heaven with Takis who took it upon himself to help abandoned dogs in his own country. Just one person can make all the difference. Look how contented these dogs are. Thank you Takis.

Mary, you are so incredibly right. Takis has proven, despite incredible sacrifice, that these animals (and for that matter so many people, children, etc.) can be helped if someone takes an incredible leap to simply make it better. Takis listened to his heart and made that profound leap and look at the monumental good he has not just created, but has made. Not many are willing to do this. Don't we wish there were more Takis' in the world.
