Those Fillo's Walking Tamales are a go to lunch for me. If you get them from Amazon in a variety pack you also get desert Tamales as well. I found them about a year ago in a local gas station. Now I get them either on line or at Wal-Mart. Great video today. Safe travels you two.

You seem to have a vibe more from the US than Mexico in a language and tourist way but it is nice to see. Cancelar is pagar most times, and you can use it both ways. A tropical fruit video would have been great, some of the fruit you ate is probably really local or non existente in other places and was intriguing. I dont think you can say "sale" or "platicar" like thank you and chat locally there, it happened to my Mexican aunt here and the waiter was like you want me to leave or is it a weird way to ask for salt but it was funny anyways. Most people think spanish is all the same, interesting in your perspective. Great video thanks.

If you guys are still down there give that mushroom a chance. Way back in the days, My grandma used to saute tenquique and mix in a couple eggs. She served it with refried red or black beans, crema on the beans and a tortilla on the side. With a glass of fresh milk after 6 yr old me helped grandpa milk the cows. It's rare to find tenquique at most restaurants there due to it's seasonal and it's pricy at restaurants.

That small fruit : we call it sineguelas in the Philippines, then the "anonas" with pink flesh that looks like jackfruit. Yes, it came from the family of jackfruit just like the breadfruit that Taku cooked in Hawaii

that's a valid point , "cancelar" here mean "pay" but also "cancelar" may mean "cancel" depending the context however if you order something in a shop and the cashier says "cancelar" means pay , we barely use "cancelar" as cancel , "ya no" is more like "cancel" here

It is kind of funny to see people's reaction to a new type of food or fruit. Someone said the other day: "My brain is not registering this flavor." Tortilla soup is ok, but do not try "sopa de pata," unless you don't mind the smell of it. Thank you for the video, I am glad you are happy in ES.

Don't let anyone tell you not to use 🍴 for pupusas People have been pushing that hard in recent years as a sort of identity thing but its made up I go with hands if its quick, no plate and nothing on top just a quick pupusa but with sauce and curtido on a plate you have to, this the actual natural way. Not sucking on your fingers like an animal I am against this facade of "culture" when its made up for identities sake

The tour guide should emphasize that the word alwashte is a Nagualt word and was used by the Indians, although in modern times it is simply pumpkin seeds roasted in a pan and ground to make that powder as a condiment for some foods.
