Great review! And thank you for recommending my video. As you said at the end, we can hope that Border/RFM/Meng etc. can soon release some kits to challenge Dragon's place in the market. Certainly late production StuG III G and Miag StuG III G with zimmerit are not covered well by Dragon. This Takom kit I think is excellent and, like you said, not even the comparable Dragon kits are perfect with their accuracy, so Takom is no worse there. One should note that I don't think Takom can really make any other StuGs using this molding, since "early" features are molded onto the larger hull components.

I am betting on RFM and MiniArt. However you'll have to be the final judge in any case :)

Pretty easy to get that nose down stance. I done a tutorial on it years ago and passed the info onto Evan, and I'm sure he put it in a video but I got it from a book about modelling the StuG. Basically cut the centre piece out of the front suspension struts. About 2mm. Then glue them back together. Take the pin out of the suspension that holds the first arm in place and glue it so it's a neat fit. Glue on the rear suspension arm as normal. Glue in place and wait until the glue had thoroughly dried. Knock off the pups on the other four suspension arms then glue in place on a flat surface so that it's a straight line, but the nose will be down slightly. Gives a mean look! 😃 Ill try and find photos but I done it so long ago, they have probably disappeared.

Yeah, I know how its done on DML kits. What I am not sure about is the alignment of the link and length tracks afterwards. The geometry of the top will be the same, but for the modified areas will be different. That might lead to some issues.

@@DNModels ah.....okay. If it comes with extra links can you not miss out the long piece (with 6 links or whatever size it is) and put in individual links to take out one link. Or do Magitracks fit where you take out the longer piece.

It should be easily doable with any aftermarket tracks, but my wondering is can it be done properly OOB

@@DNModels There are about 20 or more individual track links left over in this kit. Should be able to do as Stevie said at use those in place of the short straight lengths under the sprockets. I did not test this but I feel strongly that it would be possible.
