Can anyone help explain what's being considered a goal to judge and what isn't? I get that Fire kept doing the same ground pinch so that makes sense, but Taku's wavedash goal in the final game didn't appear to be judged. I had to watch this muted so I didn't hear if it was explained... thanks.

*I am not completely sure how much you do or don’t understand here so I will simply explain everything I can think of. Feel free to skim past anything you obviously already know. :)* It didn’t make sense to judge the final wavedash goal because, it was obvious that it was not good enough to beat Fire’s score. Even assuming it was, the freestylers choose when a shot is judged or not. No matter how good or bad the shot supposedly was, if a freestyler calls to skip the judging in the ingame chat we cannot see, then the shot is not judged. This makes sense because why bother wasting time judging a shot when it is obvious the shot was not good enough to beat the opponent’s max score? That’s another thing. Score. The way the freestylers earned points and how the judges determined who won was not cumulative. It was simply who scored the highest. If a freestyler scored a goal and achieved 40 points, but then later achieved 50, they do not have 90 points. They have 50. The judges rate goals based on a few factors. Creativity with the freestyler’s movement and setup, difficulty of the freestyle (basically how hard it is to score), overall consistency or lack thereof in everything (if a shot is “clean” it was very consistent with little to no mistakes and wasted movement), and finally, how likely the shot would be to actually make it into the net in a real match against real defenders.
