I'd prefer to see RLCS adopt the Dunk contest rules. A set amount of time for each competitor to complete a shot/round. You could totally game the clock with some of these set-ups.

@@SpiderVenom12905 in 1v1 freestyle people tend to have a clear vision of the shot they wanna do before they attempt it. So when something goes wrong and they pull it back it is more impressive. Freestyling in the way you described with the constant improv is more of a 3v3 thing that jhzer does alot of on his channel with his friends. Chel wasn't wrong saying what she said.

​@@dfoos2805 Not really, there's alot behind and if you're not into game dev or youre not having a decent knowledge you won't know that there's something else behind only car hitboxes. The model is really important of car and there's alot of difference between each car even if car has the same hitbox it's not the same what other one with the same hitbox. Wheel positions of the model and other things which have huge impact on getting resets and other stuff like wavedashing and doing other mechanics like shuffling on the ceilling etc. So saying "it's just appearance" is pathetic honestly.

I think turns like in speed chess would be a good addition to these contests. Then the freestylers can be certain whether they have enough time for just one or for two more shots. This way the players benefit for giving up a failed setup in the form of saving time. (Cuz here we sometimes saw players improv and other times give up the ball if they failed their setup all depending on the highscores and time left.) I mean I get the aspects of fairness and "freestyling together" and maybe they weigh stronger, thats a fair opinion but the point above would be improved this way and also in this timeAttackVersion you would also not have to rate sloppy attempts like "he took several attempts for the setup" because the player failing already did pay for that with some of his time. So only the shot itself would have to be judged and not the amount of time / attempts consumed in order to pull it off. On the downside one player being out of time sucks for spectating because the other one can simply aim at exactly what score he needs in order to barely win in contrast to showing all hes got except for maybe one last shot if noone has high scores. So anyways, both ways are fine imo, I'm just enjoying this freestyling content :)
