The Dragon Vein event triggers even if Takumi is off the Dragon Vein tile, and I unfortunately was one turn short of winning before it, so I added Sakura as an in-game reason for this. She definitely isn't a reinforcement in the base game, but that would be cool if more Hoshidan royals showed up if you defeat the named characters.

I know the Sakura event shows this is modded, but can you even do this in base game? I thought you couldn't lunge stationary bosses.

I also had to make some changes to make Takumi lunge-able. Normally he has a "can't move" tag checked, which is what prevents Lunge. I just turned off this tag and gave him a new Archer class with 0 Mov, replicating a clear where everything is the same except the ability to Lunge stationary bosses. A bit unfortunate, but at least the strategy itself is completely legit.

damn wild, lunging the enemy boss across the map. I wonder if this is possible in a non-phoenix difficulty run?

I'd say it's certainly possible, but considering how strong Takumi is and how thin you have to spread your army, you'd have to rely on a lot of dodges. Even if you have a couple healers around, you need to clear out the generic enemies to keep the healers and Azura safe. It would also probably be cutting the turn limit a bit tight, waiting to engage with Takumi until more of the army is around, and then potentially having Azura use her action to help defeat more generic enemies/heal the Lunge users. So, possible, but not necessarily probable.
