Hello, i have a couple questions, it'd be awesome if you could help me. I just got back into diablo after about a year, and well, im stuck in torment 11, i have most of the gear youre showing except the captain crimson set, whats a good replacement for that til i get it?

I don't find Wreath of Lightning procs very often at all with this build. Does Gogok really make any difference either, as long as you keep the In-Geom buff up nearly 100% of the time? I have been cycling different gems in and out of this slot to do GR's for months, and I'm not really happy with any of them, so I just end up going back to Wreath. I honestly hardly ever see it proc with this build though, whereas it pretty much permanently stays active with my Vyr's/Chantodo build with the ridiculous attack speed.

I would love to play this build but I play on Xbox and I’m not sure if it would still be fun to play without the ability to numlock explosive blast? Would it be too much trying to keep up all the stacks and constantly spamming explosive blast, or is that really not all that different than most other builds where you just spam a specific skill? I’ve never played Wizard before but kinda want to. I’ve played a leapquake Barb and a multishot DH, and I’m leaning towards a WoL Monk but I’m trying really hard to be open to Necromancer and Wizard. I’m eagerly awaiting everyone’s build tier list to hopefully help decide!

I played it on console a lot before swapping to PC. It is spammy although I put whatever I want to numlock on right trigger and I really enjoyed it

Filthy Casual - ok cool thanks! I had MS and SS on right trigger so I’m actually used to that. Can you do some light GR pushing with this build? Is 110+ possible or is this mostly for speed farming?

Not really. It doesn’t have enough punch for anything other than speeds. Tal Meteor is very strong for pushing and you also have Vyrs, both of this easily 110+ builds

I’m fully geared for the build EXCEPT for the wand and the orb 🤣 basically the two most important pieces to make the build work, lol. Actually still pretty happy about it because with what I already had saved in my stash and what I was able to come up with today I was able to come up with 14 of the 16 needed pieces of gear to wear or cube. Tomorrow I’m just gonna do some GR speeds on my POJ Monk or Rend/WW Barb to load up on blood shards and crafting materials and hopefully should have the last two pieces in a couple hours. I’m pumped! This has been a crazy fun season of firsts for me. For first time Monk I got a POJ TR, LoD WoL and a Sunwuko WoL. For first time Witch Doctor I got a LoD DoD. And about now first time Wizard with this EB build 🤟🏼

What I like about this build is even if you have no legendary parts at all or set pieces it's still pretty good at lower levels like expert-torment 2

you can usually kill everything up to torment 4 with any 2 piece set bonus alone no matter what set.... and you get the first 2 parts of a set by completing a bunch of very easy season challenges mostly on normal difficulty.

Why not go with diamond skin ; diamond shards, for the arcane proc? Wouldn't that free you up to use a better rune on teleport, like safe passage?

@@FilthyCasual96 I just tried it and it works, but it feels slower without diamond skin: Sleek Shell. That might be why you decided against it. Also, it may still need some arcane regeneration, which Prism really helps with.

Hey Julian - there is an item called 'Ring of Royal Grandeur' which you can get from Act 1 bounty caches (it can't drop in rifts) and it allows you to take one off the number of set pieces needed. So a 6 piece set, only requires 5. A 3 piece set requires 2 etc. Good luck and welcome to Diablo 3

Julian Alvin Kim Dela Rosa Both of those should just drop natively. I’d roll blood shards at Kadala for the offhand and upgrade level 70 wands in the cube to find Wand of Woh. There are lots of wands in the loot pool so that might take awhile 😬

your main weapon has holy damange on it, how is that good for a wizard ? i've been dumping weapons for my wizard thats poison or holy, isnt just + damage better than any specific elemental damage?

The rune you choose for a skill determines the dmg type, not the weapon itself. So doesnt matter what kind of dmg the weapon displays, that's just a remnant of vanilla D3.

I have played this game for years now and apparently have never had the Aughild's Authority plans drop. I have an Aughild's set in my blacksmith's mastery. But it's NOT this set!?! Any suggestions how to farm this up? Or am I purely at the mercy of RNG?

It should just be RNG. There is however a change coming in the next patch which will be live in the next week - the change should garantee that plans drop until you have all of them :-)

You said that you numlock explosive blast but can you explain why your bind for explosive blast is A and not a number? (I never used numlock)

If you bind ‘A’ to ‘Numpad 1’ as a second key binding you can get the game to auto cast the skill for you If you search Numblock guide Diablo 3, you’ll find a tutorial on how to do it (easy to see rather than read). Good luck 👍🏻

You can clear gr75 easy with no ancients on a handful of builds. Just go for sets. If you're playing a LoN/LoD then you are going to have a difficult time so just go for a set build to farm your LoN/LoD

Worth noting, that at some point (for example getting enough paragon to make up for damage loss) cold EB might be better than fire, and with new season theme that point might be achievable much faster than now.

But why would you need more paragon to make up for damage loss? Wouldn't cold EB just do more total damage than chain reaction in general as long as you're getting the 3 extra blasts from Wand of Woh? Unless I'm doing the math wrong, cold EB totals slightly more, and bigger range on top of that. What would you use to proc the fire element in this particular setup though? Or would you just abandon the fire element altogether and consider that as your damage loss?

@@JoeBlythe It does not. With Chain Reaction, additional blasts from WoH are also trippled, giving you in total 12 blasts. As for fire proc, dunno, but its shouldn't be hard to stick it somewhere, as giving it up is not an option. Also at high enough paragon and with good gear i would consider making this build with LoD anyway, it' much more pleasant to play without having to keep your procs up all the time.

It looks to me in the animation that there are 6 blasts. Are you sure it's 12? I don't doubt that cold EB is better at higher paragon, I just don't understand why.

@@JoeBlythe I've based my response on infos from wiki and tested it afterwards - Chain Reaction with WoHs triggers 12 blasts total. It might be hard to notice all blasts, because with Chain Reaction, they're overlapping. I assume WoH logic is that by "blasts" it mean casts, which actually makes no difference for any other rune, but it's exceptional for Chain Reaction. Also, historically, when there was any EB builds here, they were using Chain Reaction, because in fact, with WoH it deals most damage from all runes. There is no other benefit from additional explosions that Chain Reaction gives you. As for why cold EB is better at higher paragon - just for utility of increased range. We are talking about scenario when you have damage high enough that Chain Reaction already overkills everything, and as I stated, you take Chain Reaction just because it's highest damage rune. When you can kill everything as fast (or a little bit slower) with any other rune, there is no point with sticking with Chain Reaction and it will be more beneficial to take rune that will give you something else instead of just more dmg, which you don't need anymore in this specific scenario.

@@sebk1e That makes sense. I just looked into it briefly, and it looks like you're right about the 12 blasts. I feel like you would have to be an extremely high paragon level in order to kill the mobs as quickly using any other rune in this case, as the damage of Obliterate with 3 additional blasts would only be roughly 60% of the damage output with Chain Reaction. I doubt this would be possible with my paragon level 1300 wiz, even with full augments.

I primarily don't move by running with that build, I only teleport so movement speed generally doesn't matter.

@@Yagaraschi I find that constantly teleporting from elite pack to elite pack is much faster than running. Same goes for DH, Monk and so on. Running is the slowest method of moving in the game.

@@Yagaraschi The other thing is that to have the run speed you have to give up damage or toughness. It is faster to run gogok than Boon or Wreath. Overall you will lose effective speed, relying on teleport and taking the extra damage/cooldown of gogok is faster.

What do you do if your Ingeom isn't up? By all means you can dump the move speed, but imo it makes it smoother for bad maps and if elite starved. But each to their own and WOL isn't essential

@@FilthyCasual96 I walk, but with the build if your ingeom isn't up it is hopeless, so focussing on keeping that up is essential. This is also why I rely on gogok as it reduces the cooldowns. I also don't use F&R, I prefer obsidian and then either CoE or Stone of Jordan.

For console I’d say go barb as you can just set whirlwind your right trigger and it’s golden. Less button heavy than vyrs on console as well

Did anyone tries akkhan + cc + aughuild condem crusader ? Its tanky, beefy, have tremenduous DPS. I do 90s in less than 3min. I could go even further beyond if i get higher paragon (out of time to play)

this guide is useless for us Australians.our skills screen is totally different. you guys get MOUSE: primary, defensive. WE GET: primary, secondary. on action bar, you guys get: Mastery, defensive, defensive and conjuration. WE GET: defensive, force, conjuration, mastery. Also, our skills do not appear as yours do. eg: frost nova is NOT able to be set to the secondary mouse button... ours for some reason is very different.... playing on americas region.... our disintegrate is on the mouse secondary, you video shows this to be automatic? we dont get that option.... what's up with that blizzard? also to fully utilize that set you need RROG. you have focus/restraint in the slots so how are you doing it since we can't utilise RROG and convention of elements at the same time in the cube....? *our cube allows: weapon, belt, ring*
