That's what I love about bass players; they can all play in the same place and not step all over each other and just enjoy the low frequencies. Oh, and Oteil just..wow. He took us on a little journey there.

@slap70s how could you blame the luthier, especially a top notch luthier like Carl Thompson? I think it is because Steve isnt familiar with playing a fretted bass, at 3:20 he says " it needs less fretts" in a joking way but still he isnt at home with frets.

lets use the term "growing" because she is talented. She definitely has some novelty because she is a "little white girl" but the stuff she does above the 12 fret is scary good and soulful for a person her age...we all wish we could play with our musical elders...

@davoh59 Is that so? While one of them solos, what are the other one's doing? Being damn good bass players. Just cause you can't play a solo like them doesn't mean they're bad bassists. It means you need to work on your chops.

@davoh59 I don't want to use such harsh expressions, but to me, as a bass player, what I hear isn't that exceptional and such. I admire them for being very good bass players, but I like others, mostly those who excel, or used to, in a band, like John Entwistle, Geezer Butler, Les Claypool and so on. This style here is so uninteresting as G3 is.
@march195915 жыл бұрын

Ugh... I just can't stand Bailey's playing. Tal is a good grover, but that opening solo was lifeless. Otiel and Vic... love 'em. Having The Regulator pumping the beat never hurts. ;)
