Love Menorca and being visiting since I was a kid, first time 1974, I`ve been to alot of these sites as I am also fascinated with ancient history. Thank you for these vids, I`ve really enjoyed as the archaeology of the island is minimal compared to other places. I do find the Taula`s particularly interesting

Heading to Mallorica in June. Any tips for visiting the historic sites? We plan to have a car.
@ForestArchaicCollective9 ай бұрын
yes as long as you've got a car you'll be fine! they're all very accessible - roads are good of the main ones we mentioned in the Mallorca video: Son Fornés, Ses Païsses & Necròpolis de Son Real are the ones not to miss You've got the Talaiots of Son Catlar, Binifat & the sanctuary of Son Corró all in a cluster in the middle so those are easy to do in one go the biggest one we missed is Capocorp Vell in the south which is well worth a look & of course there's all the stuff in Palma - the Islamic Baths being a particular treat Hope you have a great time!

You've become more archaeological over time. That's a terrible joke. Sorry. Fascinating though, I knew nothing of this culture prior to watching. I love the idea of a "Slingers Corps" in the Carthaginian army, it must've been a crazy-looking force, didn't they use elephants too? I liked the soundtrack to this one. Though I did have to scream into a cupboard at one point, my ear for the Catalan language is hyper sensitive.

I visited Talaiotic de Monfeti in April this year. There are some works there now. I was surprised to find many bones and pottery fragments just dumped with soil next to digs. A bit careless from an archaeological point of view.
