@ JoJo'a Mum What kind have you wearing? A good bra should be very comfortable. Playtex 18 hour bra is for larger sizes. It has a wide back strap, under arms and wider shoulder straps. There are SO MANY different bras out there it's far from, "I can't find the right one." Especially for larger women. This thing offers no support and I can see this being uncomfortable 😂 Maybe you just look.

Не бывает неудобных бюстгальтеров, бывает неверно подобранный размер. Милые женщины, научитесь подбирать размер правильно и вы поймёте каким раем может быть жизнь в бюстгальтере, с любым размером груди. И не придётся заниматься порнографией подобной тому, что в видео показано.

на себе надо демонстрировать, а не на менекене. манекен можно просто полосой ткани обвязать и будет хорошо сидеть, потому что манекен статичный и твердый. а тело человека совсем иное, и изделие на нем себя ведет тоже иначе. особенно, если женщина не юная, и грудь у нее большого размера, много ваш бюстгатер удержит такую грудь?

I love this. Thank you. I once made a similar garment when I was pregnant in 1976 before women went swimming whilst 'with child'! I attached a sort of smock/skirt to the bra and made the pants to match. It was very comfortable and everyone wanted to know where I'd bought it! XXX

What prevents the elastic from folding in half or twisting in the wash? Did you use a woven fabric here, or some kind of knit? You have made it look so simple, but I know it isn’t quite that easy. ;)

A trick I learned from my mom: Once the elastic is in place inside any casing I even it out with my fingers and sew a straight vertical line through all layers. On outer garments it helps to have matching thread and I stitch in the ditch in the side and center back seams often. I do this always on elastic waistbands to prevent curling, as well.

Modern sewing elastics dont old in half. you can do the trick mentioned below to prevent twisting. they used to sell specificaly labeled waistband elast and bathing suit elasti more study than this. If me Id gage the measurements to only have elastic under bust section to not have wrinkles in back. but to me its just like the bathingsuit tops we made as young thin girls in the 70s. Id make it out of a super stretch like bathing suit material. they also sell mesh that hold you up for bathing suits. I dont put my body in public at age 67 but things do exist to solve problems. I do want to make a better sports bra. which is what I wear now.

What measurements were they showing? There were none as to properly size the bra. Measurements for an A/B cup wont work for a C/D or higher. You need the measurement math on how they got the "40" in order to make that bra fit you, or I, or anyone else making it fit properly. WE NEED THE MATH AND LINES TO MEASURE!!!

that bra looks very uncomfortable. it's not made of stretch fabric, there's no padding in the cup at all and the straps aren't adjustable. not to mention that bulky band at the bottom will make your clothes look weird

I miss sewing. Through the years, it has become all but impossible to sew. Blind in one eye and nearly blind in the other prevents me from threading needles, even with needle threaders. Maybe someday, I will find some visual aids that can help me sew again before I leave for home.

I love that the assembly instructions are clear, but where is this "40" measurement coming from? Breast Size? Underbust? Full Bust? Difference of Full bust and underbust? The measurement of the underbust over nip to top of breast? The circumference of the breast? The half circumference of the breast?....It seems like everyone in the world has their own sizing metrics, so without knowing where and how to get the starting measurement the instructions are rendered somewhat worthless. Here in the states for instance your bra is measured by underbust for band size, and then the difference of bust and underbust to get the measurement of the cup, the greater the measurement the higher the letter/cup size. Sorry for the attitude, Sorry for the rant, It just cooks me when people leave out critical starting point info on how to get the measurement needed first for a tutorial such as this.

It is a German channel, so I think that the size is German as well. Size 40 equals US size 12.

@@beatepaul5814 I appreciate the clarification on that point. They do give the inch measurement of the cloth they use in the pattern. However, that is not the issue I am bringing up. The math and what measurement is used is the most important part of this pattern. How you get that measurement, Where you get the numbers for the measurement are not given at all, and What measurements and math you are needing to get that measurement are all missing. Therefore it is still missing that critical information. Without that information a person has to then make several potential failures, wasting material in a trial and error manner to size it smaller or larger as needed.

I only mean my comments as constructive criticism of the creator of the vid that the way you get the measurements to use is sometimes better than just a "I am using this, you can size it up or down as you need" does not help anyone with getting a good fit and garment that is usable. Maybe it was my failure in the moment, if it was not clear enough. Anyways, it is what it is. I have tried tagging the creator in other more active threads, and still there is no further engagement, pinned post etc. Channels like this one with easy patterns are great for beginners, but also its about getting a successful product without wasting too much material.

This would make good “starter bras” But for “over the shoulder boulder holders” these would be totally useless. Perhaps if you added power knit to the sides and adjustable straps. A good bra needs to move when you do without loosing their contents. I know because I used to make what you are making for the same reason that larger women wanted prettier bras other than the drab white, beige and black bras in stores. I bought a book and some power knit, measured myself and began on myself. It was a necessity for me because I have a prosthetic. Good pattern for teens though.

This looks like a great bra/bathing suit top for small-medium sizes. For me, I HATE seams across my nips. I also think the shoulder straps are too thin for someone with larger cup sizes. If this is a stretch fabric, I'd recommend a stitch made for stretching. The straight stiches might break when stressed, or keep it from stretching as intended. As expensive as bras are, this is a great pattern to try, because then you can adjust it to your own size, style, taste, and comfort.

This is far from a bra, not even a beginning "training" bra that has tight lace panels. But the lace panels are stretchy and your young boobs don't bounce around. All boobs need support because boobs need no help in sagging. And you know when you see it? When you're older and your boobs are firm, not hanging to your belly button.

Unfortunately a bra like that would never be able to hold up my girls. I'm going to have to DIY my boobs before DIYing a bra... but... I've redesigned a bra to make it more supportive for heavily cupped women (or men!). Something more comfortable than a wire bra but with better, more evenly dispersed weight across the front and back to support without too much strain on the shoulders. I'll share it once I finished drawing up the plans and patenting it. Your video has encouraged me to 'get on with the job' so thanks for the inspiration.

Not very helpful. The number of a bra size is less than half the equation. The cup size is the important part. This tutorial appears to be for a B cup, fine for a teenager.

@@JulieWallis1963 where does it say to make larger or smaller? They DO NOT give anything as far as what math equation or what lines were used in that said equation to make this bra. In bra making you have MANY breast measurements: full breast(under breast over the nip(apex) up to top of breast, Half breast- lower(under breast to apex), circumference, half circumference, Half breast-upper (Apex to top of the breast), cup measurement(full bust - underbust), full bust ( circumference of chest over apex), underbust ( measurement under the bust)..... Said measurement is critical in knowing what line you are getting said measurement from and what math is used to get the final results. How to make the assembly is clear, but the lack of measurements/math make it rather useless to size up or down for anyone else.

I think its cute. Its brazire , you normally find in the lounge wear, they not meant for high impact support, just comfort. I like them because something i can wear to sleep without sagging, but comfortable enough to sleep.
