This takes throwing in a set of rings and bearings to a whole new level. 0 clearance checked, 0 honing of the cylinder bores. Did they check the ring end gaps? They did resurface the block using the tread plate on the trailer. Fine job guys. Ive torn down and refreshed a few in the dirt myself.

I'm no mechanic, but I know what lapping a valve is and why it's done. I've never seen anyone do it that way. Interesting.

I have done that a few times! It might make a certified wrench sick to watch though. I fixed a sbc that had the worst valve job I have ever seen done to it.. I paid a guy then threw on the shelf for a few years. Out of warranty! Last valve job I ever paid for😮

To be honest I don't see significant difference here. Same EURO 0 + leaking + engine smoke. I can keep eye closed on environment/place where the service was done.

Restoring bollocks! Just stripping down cleaning & removing old paint ! I gave up watching after the crazy valve grinding!

Il motore andrà anche, bisogna poi vedere nel tempo e nei km, non è stata usata una chiave dinamometrica per nessun bullone nemmeno per le parti più importanti, e neppure le sequenze di serraggio. Alla fine quel motore è stato smontato e rimontato con i suoi pezzi ad eccezione delle bronzine delle fasce elastiche e qualche guarnizione. Posso permettermi di criticare perchè pur non essendo un meccanico ricostruisco i motori pure io.

This is rubbish! That is no reviving, it is just a clean up of a dirty engine. The motor is still not running smooth which is not surprising. Just another cheap backyard job....
