В этом видео прекрасно всё ! И работа на корточках, и детали практически на земле. А какие механики - профессионалы ! Работают без динамометрического ключа и детали протирают так, что и сжатый воздух не нужен. Однозначно лайк !

Who says you can't rebuild an engine -from scratch - on the roadside? These guys are good at what they do. And you see the younger guys watching so when the older guys need to retire, the process doesn't skip a beat. Team work.

Typical third world system best I can figure .There is one well trained mechanic probably trained by railway company or bus company or similar .He then sets himself up as a garage Nd employs several locals untrained to do most of the hard work and they get paid very little until they do more tasks .For example one person cleans the parts and another bolts on stuff like exhasts pipes or wheels but less mechanicaly challenging mechanical parts. We in western world might think that logic is nots but one trained mechanic can have teams of three to six workers to do sole tasks who get paid something and can support thier family This logic is a sort of mini version of the car assembly lines Best I can tell us the engine was fixed and they didn't use a tourgue wrench . The main mechanic had been from what I can see traded to know by experience what was the correct tourgue .I worked in the past wit mechanics who could do this method from years of experience and have virtually no failures in parts not turned down correctly All respects to this team they earn Thier pay probably less than 1/10 the money for this work to be decided up buy this team with master mechanic getting most of it to supply garage and tools As a example my Norwegian friend who is origin Morrocsn was quoted a telephone number to repair the side of his camper home buy Norwegian repair shop . He took the money he got from insurance to repair the camper van and drove down to Morocco and got local Moroccans to fix it for fraction the price .Norwegian Mechanics get paid often more than fivthy euros a hour where Moroccan mechanics often earn less than 5 euros a hour . A friend of mine drove rental Indian motor bikes around India and every 500 meters was small workshops able to fix Indian made motor bikes .He never worried for flat tyres or repairs the cost were supper cheap and often the fabricated the parts rather than order them in so many repairs were fairly fast and cheap. Yes sometimes the repairs were badly done but most of them were very good so he wasn't worried for bad repairs.as a few miles away would probably be suitably good repair shop

@@rodderyup7401 ok cool, isn't it kinda counter productive to use then water as a coolant after all this work put rebuilding the engine? Depending on where the truck driver goes temps can be very hot or freezing as well. Water does not have the best cooling properties and its also corrosive for metals. Freezing point and boiling points are not as good as proper coolant. I've seen so many ppl putting water in their coolant system and some miles after having a seized engine or blown up gasket. I have this assumption that these small things are almost as important as the big repairs.

I love how nothing was torqued. It was "just as tight as you can get it!" Well, now that was amazing! Not that they rebuilt it, but that they did it there in the dirt and it runs!! Well done sirs!
@NomanJalal2 жыл бұрын
They actually did torque it, just not by a torque wrench. They have done this build so many times that they know how much torque each bolt needs at a certain part. First I thought the same thing, why aren't they torquing the bolts, then mid way I realized they are using less force at places where it isn't needed. I guess they torquing based on the feeling of hand.... But I do see them torquing some bolts less than the others. Bravo to them!!! That's some skill right there!!!
@ZerokillerOppel12 жыл бұрын
17:20 dude actually uses a torque wrench. You can hear it clicking. These guys seriously know what they're doing and are probably good mechanics, shame they have to do everything squatted, in the dirt. Give these guys a descent shop with basic (air) tools and some hoisting provisions, an engine stand, some worktables with chairs and watch their production ramping up!! No more cleaning every single part 10 times because of the sand and grime...

I was impressed with the prodigious application of gasket mastic, hope the oil and water pump enjoys digesting the squeeze out as it cycles the fluids. With flashes of cooking show flair the master builder hand drizzles oil into the pistons/rings to then scoop more oil from a dirt ridden bowl for the next piston. I especially liked the post short block assembly, "roll it in the dirt" procedure. I guess that's to dry-coat the oozed gasket goop and splashed oil, oh and the tops of the pistons for smokeless first start. Then there was a true engineering flash of brilliance, oil the head gasket liberally so tighten the head bolts out of sequence allows the head to squirm on the oil film in an attempt to equalise initial clamping load and ultimately, as the oil leaks down, under clamp the block/head interface. I have to give special mention to the torque settings, they seem to work on the FFP scale being the Fella Full Pull. Head bolts = 1young FFP which is the same as the rocker tappet pillars being 1 young FFP. The conrods and much of the bottom end get a higher setting of 1oldFFP. Ultimately the bulging top radiator hose bursting imminently will save the engine building business from any warranty promise.

Yea I’ve never seen anyone oil a head gasket before, interesting
@mannys91302 жыл бұрын
@@plz_dont_resign8387 Right, because you ABSOLUTELY NEVER EVER DO THAT. I laughed my ass off when I saw that cracked flywheel and flex plate that they reinstalled. I fell out of my chair when they slathered the head gasket in oil. The 6 stooges. All the bolts are torqued into plastic deformation, and everything is tightened down out of pattern so everything is warped and unevenly stressed. That, and the rolling in dirt, is why all the goopy anaerobic sealant is smeared all over the thing. The gasket alone won't seal when it's being assembled asymmetrically clamped and warped. 🤣 This engine was tortured and the customer got scammed. Won't last long AT ALL. Jesus Christ...

I have never seen this done outside of a workshop always in side. Did I miss they timing the cam shaft to the crankshaft and all the pistons being put in with the thursting side in the right way and also timing the fuel pump up
