I AM an opera lover, and it's saying a LOT that you're impressed with Mr. Masuku. That means he could reach millions of people with his brilliance! That is, if he hasn't already because of this show.

Italian here: he's actually got a good Italian pronounciation, which is not so common in native English speaking opera singers. Bears mentioning this isn't originally a Opera song, but he turned it to that so naturally that for a second I was thinking about it as if it was!!! While this is our Lucio Dalla's "Caruso"!!!

South Africa might be a cultural country and all, he, as a classical singer, he would not have won any talent show here. Target audiences for these kinda shows in South Africa are young and POP oriented. So no, he is not recycled from here my friend. Britain found this talent on its own.

Beside the good way he sings, as in Italian, I can say the pronunciation is spot on. I have never heard anything like this from a non-native opera singer singing in Italian...
