her vocals are average at best. she made this a very booring version. yea she beltet it out with a long breath. but it was a weak belt, went off key at the end. overall she has good looks and seems likeable. but thats not enough. she is not a musician, and vocals are average. i can bring you 100 people on that or better level vocaly and none of them will ever make it. you cant market sand, even if its nice and good sand, it simply to much of it avaliable. you need to have something unique that people wanna follow. either really good songs and a good style. or very outstanding qualitys as a musician or better both. or at elast very outstanding vocals. there so many young stalents ticking at least 2 of those boxes trying hard to get a chance.

Actually, she can't do that. Contestants sign a contract to be on the show. They are not allowed to sign a recording contract and leave the show. They can leave for other reasons. Like a medical problem or a close family member illness., family emergency, etc.

Kenedi is AMAZING! She always delivers the best performances of the night every single week and always the best of the night. She shows that she was the best of the night again tonight! That was her best performance to date! She had me up on my feet throughout and her high notes and all the runs was outstanding and perfection. She can do no wrong. She is just perfection. She was the best singer this season and she's better off with a record deal than win because the contract is really shitty. She can sing the phonebook and it doesn't matter what songs she chooses. There were never wrong songs for her cause she can pick a bad song and sing the crap out of it. She is a superstar! No .. perfect singing doesn't guarantee stardom ... i found a singer i love with great songs : wendy moten, she didn't go far ... not famous ... to become a star, they also need to have skills like Swift or Puth .. she isn't a great singer, but a great song writer, very good lirycs ... puth is a whole package at another level .. i don't exoect this kenedi becoming a star cos she can belt ... @@HeroShades yeah, but there have been many great contestants before from AGT, The Voice .. sosmed works wonders in catapulting someone with addition of tiktoks, but today's news became yesterday's history easily too ... i saw her and just saw a good singer, remember the fact that she lacks competition so she stood out .. real star needs extra oomph and character ... see mariah, swift, rihanna with her trade mark voice, shakira with unique dancing skill, adele with charismatic voice that makes us feel the hurts, beyonce with all round talent voice and dance even pitbull, he has the it factor that becoming his selling point .. just great at singing didn't instantly make someone a diva ... maybe kenedi will make it big, i am not against her, i just don't see it that easy ... case in point, remember how britney blew aguilera out of the water for a decade back in 2000 ? Aguilera was so bitter and nasty about it ... but in 2000 britney was phenomenal and it had nothing to do with singing skill which aguilera won in that aspect .... just saying ...

I can only imagine the pressure. The entertainment industry can be a tough place for a teenager. So many go in sweet and innocent and the industry twists them into a sexualized (usually) version of themselves. Not to mention the life-style and creepy predator types. It's no wonder so many self-destruct. Brittney Spears comes to mind as the most public meltdown.

I think this whole platinum ticket thing shouldn't be in the American Idol. It's too much pressure. I wouldn't be surprised if it's taken a toll on her.
