Frank & Donna's Full 1961 Westfalia Camper Features/History:
“Purchased from the son of the original owner in 1982. 41,000 actual miles. The bus is a VW factory model SO34 camper - a series not usually imported to the United States. The original owner ordered the vehicle equipped to U.S. specs, he took delivery at the factory, and drove it through various countries around the world.The window stickers include Malaya, Australia, Canada, etc. It has excellent original paint, original spare tire, Blaupunkt 3 band radio (AM, FM, M), lift up roof hatch, slide out step at side door, large Westfalia roof rack. We have the original small and large Westfalia awning/tent enclosures, the large one has an offset, enclosable space for the original porta-potty with wood seat (that we have). The complete Westfalia interior includes: 3 position reversible bench front seat back that allows seating on 3 sides of the table and also provides foot space for sleeping., a hammock for children that stretches over the front seat, and an ice box.Specific cabinets include: swing out stove cabinet, wardrobe cabinet, food storage cabinet, make up cabinet and a cabinet for plates, glasses and silverware. It also has an interior table that can be set up outside utilizing a unique hub that allows the spare tire to serve as a table base, there is also a Westfalia removable folding chare with provision for floor mounting to allow passenger use during travel, remote interior light, etc. A factory VDO fuel gauge and clock.” -Donna

Your awning is amazing 😊 Well, all of it is amazing but the awnings really make it stand out! I too have a vintage 78 22ft class c from Chevy ( Shasta) I was recently told that I have probably the only one left and that made my 1700.00 purchase more worth it after needing to gut the entire thing down to the studs and rebuild the ENTIRE thing from scratch lol!! But now it's my tiny gorgeous home away from home and very soon I am leaving Michigan to travel the entire coast line of the US. I'm so excited and have been planning for this for 3 yrs now. That's how long it's taken to rebuild. I'm sorry to see your husband passed and my prayers and a hug are going out to you now. I lost my mom and now my father in law in this past year to Dementia. My mom on 1/8/18 and my husbands dad on 1/10/19. This has been the hardest year of my 51 years if having my mom be my best friend and not having her has given me even more if a reason to hit the road and heal! Take care of yourself and I hope you get out and enjoy your gorgeous tiny home 😉 Michelle💖
