I love it when people review comics from the past that I have missed. This is a great way to introduce people to comics that they may have enjoyed so they can check them out.

@CaptainFrugalReviews thanks Captain Frugal. I don't know everything about the old Vertigo either. But there are some hidden gems in there for sure. This miniseries is one of them

Fiction or fantasy aside, it's difficult to root for any CIA agent as protagonist to a story since that agency has been corrupt to its core ever since it became the CIA (from the OSS). But hey, I'm here for Bandage-Face, first name Unknown. Canada does not host any comic database site. I just use, and shop from, My Comic Shop. Spaces included in an effort to prevent the Alphabetheads from disappearing this comment (this is my third attempt at posting this). Great-looking art. I know of both the cover and interior artists by name but not by enough of their work to visually identify 'em. Atmospheric opening scene/page. I do enjoy autumn illustrated in comics as effectively moody environmental portrayal. See the cover for the “Batman: Strange Apparitions” TPB, of stories from the '70s. Cursing is overused and even over-relied upon by Garth Ennis, in multiple works of his. I'd say it's even frequent enough to sadly be an identifying element to his writing/prose. Which I don't have a problem with in general as swearing is broadly applied, Yet it always seems force, overabundant and/or out-of-place in several Ennis' works that I've seen reviewed. Other publications, by other writers, it can smoothly fit. Yeah, this is interesting with a plot/character twist brought on with a bit of instability. Cool choice and I'll see ya at your next, TSPH. Have a great day.

It uses a lot of cursing, but considering the genre and the fact that it is an 18+ story it is one of the few instances where it fits and doesn't feel forced. But I understand those types of stories are not for everyone. Especially when you are religious or anything

@@darksydeiscomics1891 if you want to read something different from American superhero stories. This might be your thing. But there will be a lot of swearing in it. Because it tends to be 18+ and it is war, military. So don't expect it to be a good vs bad superhero story. The lines are a little more blurred
