A great display of all the character’s strengths and Drag Leben lol I particularly enjoyed that great string of attacks from Eugene and Tytree, plus having a real brawl with Milhaust! Looking forward to the Annie solo that clip is from ;D

Eephon has Flash and will always trigger it when he is attacked. The only way to damage him is to counter his attacks. This alone makes this fight way easier for melee characters and particularly hard for casters since you have barely any time to react and cast spells. Due to that, I mostly casted short beginner spells during this fight. Hilda is also the slowest character meaning dodging anything is pretty painful, especially spells like Negative Gate. So yeah, this fight was truly not for her but I wanted to showcase one more new fight for her and show that this boss is possible. If you want to see what Hilda is capable of against other types of enemies, I made a compilation for her. ► Tytree Tytree is an interesting fighter with a pretty varied moveset. His arrows attacks make him very safe against enemies but rarely ever link to any other attack. On the contrary, his physical attacks are very fast and combo easily but are painfully short-ranged. For this fight I decided to go full melee to showcase Tytree's amazing combo abilities. His FG recovery is so high that it means he doesn't really need to stop is onslaught. Tytree also has a lot of natural resets; he doesn't even have to guard cancel his Artes to chain them again. This is very specific to him too, as the recovery time on his Arcane Forces depend on the previous Force he used in the combo. ► Annie Some people probably remember I recorded this fight years ago, but I decided to come back to it and vastly improve the result by showcasing multiple strategies against Tohma. Tohma has very abusable patterns and his very short range prevents him from starting any combo before you do. Annie is very safe in this fight and she can demonstrate how she uses her normal attacks in multiple ways... The Physical skill from the force cube is also a must-have since it deals significant damage. On the other hand, Drag Leben is a terrible spell and it was showcased here only for the sake of variety. ► Eugene Phantom Hilda's defining trait is that she has a ridiculously high RG growth. This means that in only a few hits she can reach max RG and tech out of combos. You can prevent this by using weapon skills like RG-30 but this is very broken and would defeat the point of this fight. Instead I decided to showcase how to bypass this tech out system and Eugene was perfectly fit for that job. Eugene has 1 side of his cube that is ridiculously better than all the other ones. Skills like Hold, Float and Stun were all used here to be able to continue the combos. This was also the occasion to showcase some of the early cancels I recently discovered for him, specifically for Reppuu Shunjinsatsu. Finally, Eugene's huge hurtbox also makes it hard to dodge some spells, especially Frigid Coffin and I got pretty unlucky to get it twice in this take. ► Mao This one is also an improved version of an old video. Mao's negative gate is ridiculously strong and its range allows him to kill all mobs at once at the beginning of the fight. The tree is a particularly annoying boss since it has quite a lot of range and can cast spells very fast. The goal was to trigger multiple ailments to prevent the boss from reaching Mao or using any spell while managing RG for damage or faster casting. ► Veigue Considering there's a full run for Veigue, it was pretty hard choosing which fight to use for him. I decided to go for a fight that is not completely combo oriented compared to the other 2 melee fighters. Instead this fight showcased a very balanced experience with a lot of things going on. It's an exchange of blows with multiple parries, many combo extensions/resets, bypassing some tech out and also reaction oriented. Milhaust also starts feinting towards the end so I could showcase how to abuse that too.

This looks like one of the most unique Battle Systems in the series. More people need to know this game.

However the game never got released outside of Japan besides I would ONLY solo this game on its EASIEST NOT hardest difficulty anyways.

Was Eephon's kick manipulation actually consistent? Because that was pretty sick! Actual Tytree CV out of nowhere. You didn't need to Drag Leben troll Tohma like that but I'm glad you did lol Disaster Roar vs jump, I dunno how you made the stars align but NICE!

IIRC the kick attack was inconsistent though he seems to mostly use it at high HP. However, compared to other attacks he always uses it at very close range so it's easy to know if he will use it when he is changing lines.

Dunno if it was because i didn't fully understand Japanese and the mechanics in the game but I finished it 5 years ago... I felt like it was the most boring tales of to play specially because of the 4 artes limit (even though there are hi-ougis). Would you mind showing this advanced tech in a video? I'm interested.
