I was hoping they would play the same music form episode 3. Say what you want about some of the dialogue in the prequels, but one thing no one can dispute is John Williams killed it.

The moves she’s learning from anakin is what she uses when she does escape from Rex in season 7 ep 11 I want to say. This series just added so much more depth to the over all Star Wars lore.

You can hear the sorrow and heartbreak in Dooku's voice in episode 4. He for sure blames the Jedi Council for Qui-Gon's death and I don't blame him one bit for it. They didn't listen and look what happened. I liked the reason why Yaddle was not in episode 2 in canon. She understood where Dooku was coming from. Its sad she had to die the way she did but on the other hand, the duel between her and Dooku was really good with the music and Palaptine in the background. Speaking of which, its the same actor who played him in the films voicing him in case you guys didn't know!

This is the most amazing little series and we need more of it. Seeing Yaddle's fate breaks my heart every time. also her courage to try and save Dooku given the fact that Yaddle had spent most of her life working with the younglings before they became padiwans she probably hoped that she could save him. When she lifted the door off of herself and the light on Dooku's face felt like she was trying to reach him one last time. I think in that moment she may have also realized the newly elected chancellor was the Sith lord. Seeing Ashoka grow stronger and it was because of Ankin's need to protect her that gave her the strength and skill to actual survive order 66 was painful. Still the most heart breaking scene for me is when Ashoka said, she was my friend, she was so close to Padma and even if it was against the Jedi code she still cared deeply for her. Then seeing her go from farmhand to warrior in an instant was amazing. Dumb inquisitor, trying to take on one of the most powerful Jedi in the galaxy. If Ashoka could beat Maul without her lightsabers then their was no way some bootlicker of the emperor was going to be able to best her. Still it was nice to see she hadn't lost her fighting edge after so long.

I hope Filoni does a Tales of the Sith because he and Favreau have talked about bringing more of the legend content into Canon like Dave did in this short series.

I think they picked the perfect ending scene. We already know how that episode went so we didn't need to see her defending Rex or anything. The point was Anakin is the reason she was trained well enough to survive order 66. Also the Ahsoka book, and every other book and comic is canon, unless it's a part of legends.

Tales of the Jedi has a future. Anthology episodes like this work and there are so many great stories in Legends. Dark disciple, the stuff between Aayla and Kit Fisto, Grievouses backstory, Luke and Mara Jade, Yoda in the High Republic and so on.

Episode 5 wasn't really about giving background to a specific moment. It was more showcasing how Ahsoka specifically was able to survive order 66. Many great Jedi (some for more skilled and seasoned than Ahsoka) did not survive order 66 because they didn't have the exact specific training that Ahsoka had training against clone troopers. And it's bitter sweet because anakin was training her to survive the genocide he would later be leading.

The rule of two demands all matters be resolved between master and apprentice but sideous changed it so that his power will never be challenged as he has apprentices dual each other

Storylines and characters that were once canon but de-canonized when Disney purchased Lucas Film is slowly being re-canonized by Favreau and Filoni through animation and live-action stories.

I think it was back when the Clone Wars season 7 came out and the finale contradicted the Ahsoka novel, there was fan backlash (well, maybe not severe backlash but just a lot of confusion). I cannot remember if it was Dave Filoni himself or Pablo Hidalgo who said the Ahsoka novel is not canon but another updated canon version of that novel would be released sometime in the future. I was disappointed honestly to find out the Ahsoka novel is not canon being that it is 1 of my top favorite new canon novels, but oh well. Disney or Lucasfilm seems to have been gradually changing the canon rules of what is and is not canon ever since starting about a year after Disney first announced the new canon rules. A good What If episode for Star Wars would be what if Yaddle had escaped and reported back to the Council what she learned about Dooku. I think Yaddle staying there instead of just leaving goes to show what good friends she & Dooku may have actually been that she thought she could talk Dooku down. I do not really think, though, that even if Yaddle had escaped that the Council would've listened to Yaddle. I think The Council was already too blinded by that point to listen even to her.

8:20 If Luke had done what you suggested in Return of the Jedi the Emperor never would have been defeated. For me the episode proved that Yaddle was a true Jedi like Luke always having hope that you can be turned back from the dark path.

The Ashoka novel was Canon, but is no longer canon and is included in Star Wars Legends, as is Darth Revan, Darth Bane, Thrawn's trilogy from the original trilogy, where Han, Luke, Lexa,… The Book of Darth Plageus, where Anakin's birth is visited, is partially included in the Canon. Well, also like in the new Canon Thrawn book series where I think there's also how in the clone wars he helped Anakin save Padmé and then he joined the Empire and found out about Anakin himself in the Vader suit he was tightening but he respected him. So even Clone Wars Season 7 along with Rex in Rebels and Tales of the jedi Episode 6 made the retcon better than the book in most cases except TotJ, but it's believable and probably more realistic. The same thing happened to Komiks Dume and Order 66, which became a retcon in episode 1 of the Bad Batch 1 series. But we know how it was with Rex and the chip in his head. So part of Order 66 is a vision that started out as a dream about the future, but it turned out differently. And that in the form of Bad Batch. The rest, but in the Kaleb Dum comics and books, not "Kanan Jarrus", it's a fake name for cover. Similar to Satine's "Ben" Kenobi nickname. Or "Ashla" fake name of Ashoka Tano. George Lucas and Dave Filoni made it pretty clear books ,video games are never 100% canon.. Which doesn't make a difference anyway as long as it's a good story, right

Books ,comics ,video games are never 100% canon , Similarities sure George Lucas and Dave Filoni make that pretty clear with all their interviews , But yeah, it's not really a big deal. I'm sure there's a Multiverse everything is Canon somewhere in the universe of Star Wars. would love to see a what, if ?... For Star Wars

The reason that Ahsoka took down that Inquisitor so easily was because he was by far the weakest one, or because the people he'd hunted down up till now were just Padawans who got away like Kanan, and not someone trained by Anakin Skywalker.
