Edgar Wright movies are a treat man, you are missing out! The audio/video editing and the script are always tight while also being dense with the details. Everytime you rewatch his movies you pick up on more tiny details. Shaun of the Dead has the widest appeal due to its genre and it being silliest of the "Corneto Trilogy." Hot Fuzz probably has one the most packed scripts, not a single dialouge feels like filler. One of the best comedies I've ever seen. The World's End has the most heart in it, it is a character study while also being a post-apo scifi movie. Scott Pilgrim vs The World is probably one the best "comic book" movies ever. Baby Driver has some of the best audio editing and needle drops in any movie ever.

I REALLY need to see Scott Pilgrim. That's one of those movies I am actually embarrassed when I have to tell people I haven't seen it. Thank you for the great info and for watching, my friend!

You haven't seen Hot Fuzz? (dies a little bit) Greg, no! This movie is a lot different from Shaun of The Dead and Hot Fuzz though. I am going to watch this again with your full reaction, but this movie was not well received when it came out because of how different it was from SotD and HF, but I'm seriously enjoying it now!

not into zombies so shaun of the dead isn't on any of my lists hot fuzz is a tight script and the best performance nick frost has done worlds end is more personal to me but it's not great

I'm definitely going to give both of the others a try but just as you've suggested, most people have been guiding me toward Hot Fuzz first. Thank you for watching and for the advice, my friend!

I really REALLY loved this movie, but I think it was primarily because I also graduated high school in the early '90s, and was VERY plugged into the UK rock scene, so I was groovin' along to EVERY song on the soundtrack, especially Primal Scream and the Stone Roses (and even, to my own embarrassment, the Kylie Minogue song).

If you want to see more Paddy Considine as a go-to, capable kind of guy, I'd suggest you watch "The Girl With All the Gifts." It's a zombie apocalypse movie, but a REALLY good one!

Shame you haven't watched The Cornetto Trilogy in order as there are callbacks in this one to the previous two films. Pegg Wright and Frost met on the TV sitcom Spaced with the former as an unsuccessful comic book artist and Frost (Andy) as his TA (National Guard) friend. The idea for this one actually was inspired by an old 'Sunday afternoon' Gene Kelly musical called 'It's Always Fair Weather in which three army buddies meet up ten years after the war to find they don't really like each other any more. For Paddy Considine you ought to see 'The Girl with All The Gifts'. That first encounter with The Blanks in the toilet was a real WTF moment!

This is the least successful of the Edgar Wright / Simon Pegg films. But I have a soft spot for it because I know most of the locations where it was filmed, which doesn’t happen often.

I...I have to ask. Are any of the pubs real? Thanks in advance, my friend!

@@WarpReactorSome are real pubs with the name changed. Some are other buildings dressed as pubs. I know at least one of them uses the real interior. It has that ‘bland British pub’ feel to it.
