Srinagar in Kashmir has been on our radar scene for a while. Hopefully, Harriet and I will make our way there next year. South india is very different from north india and the himalayan regions/states ( kashmir, sikkim etc) are again very different from even north india. Then comes the the north eastern indian states which are completely different in all aspects from any other region of india. India is incredibly diverse.

All those places have a thick haze blanket, which ruins the entire scenery, even though the landscape formation is pretty good. I didn't expect the Dal Lake area to look this hazy and dusty. I thought Kashmir could be an exception out of all the places in India, but I was totally wrong. I can't find crystal-clear blue water and a blue sky there. It would have looked beautiful if there weren't any haze around.

Great video! FYI Those aren't regular sweet apples. They are called "bamb tsoonth" in kashmiri (quince apples in English). Only used in cooking.

Hey you could've (and should've) gone inside the Shah-e-Hamdan shrine. Your dress was very appropriate and in fact there's a women only section at the back as well - although you could also enter the main entrance without any issues also. To admire the architecture, skill and craftsmanship up close is an altogether different experience. :) Hope you visit Kashmir again.

You can visit North East India, specially Nagaland cause from 1dec they started the states biggest cultural festival . You can experience completely different food, culture, clothing it's completely different. And you can visit Sikkim, Manali etc ... You should and don't forget about Andaman and Nicobar Islands or Laxadweep islands to experience heavenly beaches 🏖️ with almost no one around.
