Ras is incredible. Nature of the Threat is one of the finest pieces of art that a human ever produced. Although I don't agree with everything said it in it, you still got to appreciate the greatness achieved in that song. So that alone cements Ras as one of the best rappers ever imo, even though maybe not everything he released matched the genius of penmanship and vocal skills in that song.

Rass is a generational talent. His style is west coast but lyrical. A real MC, and definitely not a sell out! He could’ve chased the bread. I almost think Miami Vice was the only song that went mainstream because of Coolio being cameo’d on it. And it was on the soundtrack of the Substitute with who would have guessed Mark Anthony. Keep rapping Rass, and Interview with the Vampire really blew my mind. Not just the message but the fact he spit 3 different people/views in one song. Flowers

About 2007 or 08 I rediscovered Ras Kass & started listening to his old stuff and stuff I missed. 2013 I was at this Gaming store called Vgmx I frequented alot because I'm a gamer & it was right across the street from my apartment. I happened to stop in there and 1 of the guys who worked there said yea some rapper named Ras Kass I supposed to be here...Im like Ras Kass??? He said yea you know him?? I was like are you lying lol. Long story short Ras was mad cool. I think he had Ray Cash with him.

Hands down the best and all time greater collection ofbwords ever put together. Rass is indescribable as a pyramid of vocabulary. Nature of the threat is a profound split in the revelation of hop/hop and orb [rap]

One of my most Treasured HIPHOP Cassette Tapes Ever....I studied “Nature Of The Threat”, “The Evil That Men Do” , “OOC” Miami Life and The Self titled “Soul On Ice”....it’s a personal classic to me, I want to say I was heavy on Onyx,Wutang,Rass Kass, Smiff n Wessun, Killarmy, Ice Cube, Canibus, OutKast,Boot Camp Clik ,Nas and Redman...Those were my Rotation of Emcees during 96’....Equally Love Them All...!!! I can remember the day I printed the lyrics of “Nature of the threat” and I studied studied studied those lyrical Truths as a youngster and gained a Love for studying beyond the confines of our indoctrinated curriculum....HIPHOP molded, shaped and taught me so much
