Well done video man, pointed out some good stuff about the comparisons. I noticed at 1:58 the XG35 looks focused on the cow in the foreground, but yet also on the trees in the background. Where as the XP50 was very blurry in the background. Maybe having a wide focus range is another plus of the XG35, which is a major benefit in the field.

I compared the Talion xg35 against the thermion xp50 pro with a pulsar supplier who said the reason the talion xg35 compares so well is it has a12 micro pixcel so at distance it has the 2 pixcels minimum requirementfor a sharp picture. The xp50 pro has 17 micro pixcels so at at long range the target is smaller than the 17 micro pixcel so only one pixcel or even less than the whole pixcel is available to process the picture. I tried both out at a dog at 400 plus yards and the talion xg35 was definitely sharper. However the surrounding folage was clearer with the xp50 pro. For identifying the target the xg35 is better, but the xp50pro gives a better overall picture of the surrounding area.

Well said, I agree. With the price being 700 dollar difference, the buyer must make that choice. also the talion is compact enough to be used as a scanner also.

How long of a shot can you take with these thermal scopes that have a base mag of 2x-16x?

Well kinda depends on your skill level. Myself 3 to 400 yards is my max range
