“护身符双人舞”（又称“魔符双人舞”）（Talisman pas de deux） 尽管人们普遍认为，这个"双人舞"并不是由马里于斯•佩蒂帕编导和德里戈作曲，于1889年2月6日首演4幕版本的《护身符》，或于他在1895年的复排的4幕版本无关。 事实上，这是一个在苏联时代的产物，由基洛夫芭蕾舞团的芭蕾大师彼德•古谢夫（Pyotr Gusev）于1955年复排上演《护身符》时加入其中的，其音乐采用了德里戈和普尼的各种作品。其中的男舞者变奏音乐选自普尼作曲的芭蕾舞剧《法老的女儿》。《护身符》这部作品现今已很少上演，但其中的“魔符双人舞”在世界上许多芭蕾舞团的晚会和芭蕾比赛中经经常上演。

Watching a very well known western ballet excerpt here interpreted in the Asian manner, which some experts would describe as overly refined.

I don't understand your assessment of this performance. What exactly do you mean by western ballet excerpts interpreted in Asian manner ??? There is no such thing as overly refined classical ballet. They should be refined to the tee. Don't bring in race card to the world of dance.

@@mikiohirata9627 Having worked in the Asian department of one of the world's most important museums, I am steeped in the Japance culture from a historical perspective. It is well known as a refiner of other country's culture rather than as an originator of its own. This has been going on for centuries. It is nothing new...and is a fact well known by arts professionals. It isn't meant in a judgemental or even negative way. It just is what it is. And there is plenty of overly refined ballet out there. Occasionally a dancer like Kimin Kim (see KZbin) is able to embrace the spirit of Western ballet, transcend his Asian perspective and become a superstar in the West. Check out his numerous videos. The Royal Ballet also has a lead Asian dancer who is likely Chinese.
