Lunchtime with the Irish Peatland Conservation Council is a series of nine peatland talks that are designed to allow you the viewer, as a member of the public or peatland custodian, explore and discover peatland habitat and biodiversity, the benefits peatlands offer us all and shares methods used to complete a peatland habitat condition assessment, monitor species and restore peatland habitat. This second talk introduces why peatlands are considered Climate Change Champions and introduces the charities new Peatlands and Climate Change Action Plan 2030. Lunchtime with the Irish Peatland Conservation Council was made possible with funding support from the Community Foundation for Ireland through their Biodiversity Fund 2020, the promotion of the charities new Peatland and Climate Change Action Plan 2030 is funded by the Tides Foundation and the charity are going virtual with support from the Irish Environmental Network.
