Many people do not understand what Kevin and Liza are doing, they think it’s not right to correct them but there’s a difference between knowing, using English and teaching. Yes, those “teachers “ are fluent enough and have no problem in daily life but teaching is different, you gotta be flawless in terms of teaching and knowing that language perfectly as well.

These co called "teachers" are being exposed. These arianita and lingua Marina are not native speakers. No wonder they make so many mistakes. But they don't really care: they need audience.
@bernardospinelli55888 ай бұрын
@@maksymkorinnyi7576 they speak English notably well for someone whose mother language is not English. However, they constantly make the same basic mistakes over and over, which is the case of their total lack of feeling (or knowledge) when using articles, for example. Slavic languages don't have articles, so it is quite typical for non-native speakers with Slavic backgrounds to make those mistakes, which is ok when you are talking to others in English but unnaceptable when you intend to teach English. To teach English, or any other foreign language, you must master the grammar of that language, which doesn't mean you must be a native but it does mean that you cannot make basic grammar errors like not using an article when it's mandatory, specially when in English the use of articles is so simple and straightforward comparing to, let's say, the German language, or even languages who have two genders.

Why did you omit the "the" in the second phrase? Also, can you say instead "the way the American business and the financial world work, avoiding saying world twice in a sentence? Would that work also? We are very fortunate to have you as our English teacher!!!

I think it's a good idea to correct mistakes of native Russian speakers who speak English. We have typical mistakes because Russian is different from English. I don't agree with the commentators who say that these teachers deceive their students. By this logic, every teacher in our school is a fraud. I'm sure that the best teacher who teaches a non-native language has mistakes. Students should understand this. And later they can continue their studies with native speakers. I'm sure there are mistakes in my comment. But I can write my reflections, and you can understand me. I'll speak better later. The practice will help me. And such channels will help me too.

Hi there Your question was a little bit buffled you are getting the geography and the nationalities messed up. Please hear me out. When Kevin said canadians are not Americans he was Actually talking about the nationality. Sure Canada is located in north America and when we talk about countries who are located in north America as opposed to south America we are talking about Canada and The USA. But the thing is when we talk about country as a unit and indepandant land with a population, proper nationality and sovernety we have to specify the noun of the country and the nationality of people which is in this case Canadadians who live in Canada. So long story short Canada is located in north america but people who live their are Canadians not Americans. Have a good one From Switzerland I hope that my explanation is cristal clear.
@dannyjorde26778 ай бұрын
@@fatiharouab1127 I'm perfectly aware of that, but I'll never buy that egocentric nonsense. America is a continent. And Canadians are from America. There's the word Usonian in the dictionary. Use it. 👍🏻

I don't understand. If Ariannita is a native English speaker (as she states in her profile), then how come she makes a ton of mistakes? I'm under the impression that she makes even more mistakes than a non-native speaker Marina.
@frederickwalzer55558 ай бұрын
She was probably born in the US but her parents are immigrants. I think her parents never spoke English correctly at home. The other thing is that she didn't get higher education degrees like going to college or University. She continues making terrible mistakes.
@hettyherz8 ай бұрын
@@frederickwalzer5555 But she grew up in the USA, have friends, reads books or news; and she did go to school, didn't she? I thought children learn that type of elementary grammatic at school. As far as I know, Universities require quite a high level of language knowledge: complex grammatical structures, some level of linguistics knowledge. I remember our entry Spanish exam to get access to the Uni in Madrid. We had a whole year of prep classes, and it was damn hard even for natives (and most of them failed the exam anyway). So, I have no doubt Ariannita never went to a Uni, but she had to finish school though. In any case, she must realize she can't teach the language.
@frederickwalzer55558 ай бұрын
I am living and studying in the US and the elementary and secondary education is not good. Most students are struggling in the first year of college because they have to improve their level to keep up with college assignments. It is a requirement in US universities to take basic classes in English 101, 102, etc. You learn how to write essays, and ethnographic ones too. As a non native speaker is better to take humanities classes like literature, art, history, and philosophy, the level of speaking, reading, and writing is going to improve a lot.
@fredylopez24778 ай бұрын
She simply is not a native English speaker much less an ENGLISH TEACHER as she pretends to be, as simple as that, if she had been born in the USA, she wouldn't make those basic mistakes that only a non-native speaker makes.
