Great and compelling video! Thank you Anna for this useful lesson! I experienced a severe weather 5 years ago, here in Malta. Luckily I was indoor, at home. There was a frightening hurrican and who was outside was definitely in danger. With climate changes there will be more and more unhappy events like that.

Anna ma belle, you are my Sunday sunshine that has come to pierce and dissipate all the cumulonimbus clouds of this grey morning of early May! In addition and from now on, you have become my absolute favorite Weather Girl! I am sincerely convinced that proposals from channel directors looking for a weather forecaster/presenter will soon be pouring in! You did an absolutely fabulous job with this lesson This is undoubtedly the best one I've seen about weather and now, weather and forecast in English have no more secret for us. You are solar and your talent is hair-ruffling! 🙏👏👏👏 You're boss, girl. 👍Thank you so much my lovely for a new brilliant lesson. 🌞🌟 Just Fab.! Bisous 😘🌹 ⚡❤

The worst we have had in Brazil are storming which causes landslides and flooding in some areas, causing people to lose their furniture, houses and sometimes lives. We have had lots of those problems over last summers when we have more rain.

" my guess is in the first sentence past continuous + past simple and in the second sentence past perfect continuous + past simple " is it correct ? and also between : 1- The nurse said Mike was stung by the bee yeasterday . 2- The nurse said Mike had been stung by the bee yesterday . " my guess is in the first sentence passive with simple past and the second sentence passive with present perfect .. is it correct ?

~~~~~ The Thunder ~~~~~ Don't talk me of sun, talk to me about rain Fine weather disgusts me and drives me insane Splendid azures make me 'tantrum' For granted to me on earth, the greatest of love 'Owe it to bad weather, I owe it to Jove It fell on me one night of storm ... One November night, stradding the rooftops With deafening growls, a dreadful thunderbolt Set fires of artifices Leaping up from her bed in her night attire My distraught neighbour came banging my portal Crying for my good offices. “I’m alone, frightened, open for pity’s sake! My husband's just left for the hard job he makes Poor hired guy, hard keep to earn Forced to sleep outdoors when the weather is bad, For the reason he's a traveling salesman With a lightning conductor firm" Blessing the renowned name, Benjamin Franklin! I opened my arms, took her safely within Then it was love that did the rest! You who scatter conductors all around Why didn't you plant one onto your own ground? The most fatal mistake to make!…. When Jove took a hike, went hear himself farther The belle having from all her fears recovered, Having pulled herself together, Went back to her hearth to get her husband dried Fixing me a date; for next storm, all was planned Rendez-vous to the next thunder! And from that day on I never let drop my eyes I devoted my life to observing the skies To watching the clouds going by, Gazing at the stratus, peering at the nimbus Making my sweetest eyes at the least cumulus, But the belle has never come back Her good husband had secured so much business And sold so many iron parts that night there That he’d become a millionaire And had taken her to some skies always blue Of idiotic countries where never rains for true Where none has a clue of thunder... May God grant my lament goes all beating drums Speak to her of rain, tell her of foul weather That we faced up both together Tell her that a certain deadly thunderbolt On target of my heart has left the nice draw Of a flower resembling her. F. + G.B. ⚡❤ ⚡🌹
~~~~ The Fountain ~~~~ In the stream of the clear fountain The belle was bathing all naked When of a sudden a wind shift Threw her clothes in clouds of heavens In a distress, at me she waved So as to clothe her, to go fetch Piles of vine leaves, yellow trillium Or Lily or orange blossoms. With a few petals of roses I crafted a piece of corsage The beauty was not very thick And only one rose was enough. With a few branches of the vine A piece of cotillion, I made But the beauty,... she was so fine A single leaf was adequate Then she stretched out her arms, her lips, As if to thank her servitor I took them with so much fever That she was all crumpled and stripped The ingenue enjoyed the game For at the pristine clear fountain She went to bathe naked, often Praying to God there would be gale!... F. 😘 🌹❤

Good afternoon hope you are fine . Please can you help me? "To take back" is also means: to repeat True or false ? For instance if you I say : Sorry please. Didn't get you well. Can you please take your voice back ? Is this sentence right or false?
@EnglishLikeANative
@EnglishLikeANative Жыл бұрын
No that is not correct. If you take back something you said then you regret saying it. Like if you offend someone, or say something you later realise was unfair or incorrect then you say “I take back what I said”
