I love John's story and the thought that sometimes experiences are laying the groundwork for something else. My sweet husband passed away in March of 2016 after a long chronic illness which had me relying on the Plan of Salvation to get through it. Fast forward to losing my mom from Covid in January 2020 and a dear male friend I was dating in February of this year - these two untimely deaths were a bit easier to understand and have Christlike poise.

I love these new general conference episode! It really hit home when you were sharing the story about your special needs daughter... And talking about how God sets you up for success when something hard is coming in the future. That's happened to me several times in my life. And I was grateful for the reminder.
